CHAPTER.7

Adrian Pov:

On our way to the elder's place, we bumped into Ryker who was glaring at us dangerously, he smirked as he walked towards us.

“Are you guys going to the elder's place?” He smirked.

“What do you want?” I asked with a frown but he glared at me and faced Archer.

“Archer, before you become the leader of this pack, I have to let the elders know that we need to compete first because we can’t just choose a leader, your father wrote a decree doesn’t mean we should make you the leader. Due to everything that has happened in the past and our enemies are still alive we need to find a strong leader” He said with a smile.

Without thinking twice, Archer strangled his neck, he was about to hit him when I stopped him and whispered into his ear “If you do this what will the pack think of you”

He glanced at me and released him.

“Ryker, I am ready to compete with you… I will make sure you lose to me” Archer said, gazing at him.

“Oh. Then let's see," he muttered.

We all went to the elder's place, we met the leader of the eldest whose name is Fridolf, he stared at them both for some minutes before speaking.

“Ryker, since you insist you want to compete with Archer then you can but I surely know that you are gonna lose this battle because Archer is stronger than you,” Elder Fridolf said and he was furious.

“Ryker, why don’t you give up? Even the elders know that you are not worth competing with Archer, we all know that Archer is the strongest in this pack… why do you keep stressing yourself over this, just know that you are a loser” Celesta said, facing him.

“Yo…u,” He said and was about to hit Celesta when Archer held his hand.

“Look into my eyes Ryker, I am gonna make sure you lose, and when I become the leader I will make sure you suffer” Archer gritted then left his hand.

We walked away leaving Ryker there.

“Archer, let’s do some exercises,” I said.

“You want us to run in the woods again, I am not in the mood… you and Celesta can do that” He said as he walked away.

Celesta ran after him.

“Archer, let’s do this together. It’s been a while since we ran together in the woods” Celesta pouted.

He rolled and glanced at me and I nodded.

“Did we bring any clothes here?” He asked, gazing at us.

Celesta nodded then we changed into our wolf form then we ran through the woods. We were still running when we heard voices around the forest. We walked towards the direction and saw Hola and two girls. Immediately Hola saw us, she stood up from where she was sitting and walked towards Archer, she was gonna touch him when Celesta stood in front of him.

“Archer, can you please change into your human form, it's been a while since I saw you around,” Hola said with a smile.

He shook his head but as soon as he saw Hola walking away he moved to a corner, I followed him and we both changed into our human form and and then wore our shirts and pants.

“Hola” Archer called and she turned back.

She ran towards him and hugged him. I glanced at Celesta who had already changed into her human, she was furious and couldn't take it anymore when she pushed Hola away from Archer. Hola fell landing her butt on the floor, her friends ran to meet her.

“Hola, are you okay?” One of the girls said.

“Who is she? How dare she push you away” The other girl said with anger shown on her face, as she pushed Celesta away too.

“Finn, I’m fine… leave her alone,” Hola said and winced in pain.

She bruised her hand. I glanced at Archer who was staring at her, I knew he wanted to touch her but he didn’t want to do that because she was our enemy’s daughter, and he didn’t want Celesta to know about this.

“Hey, how dare you? Do you know who I am? Wait… I haven’t seen you girls before, are you from our pack?” She asked, staring at them.

“We…”

“Celesta, it’s okay. Must you know everyone from our pack” I said, interrupting the girl called Finn.

She scoffed.

“I don’t believe you, if they are really from our pack how come I don’t know them” She said and moved away, she stood in front of Hola, staring at her.

“Do you know that Archer is my mate?” She said and I moved closer to her.

“Stop lying, I know he is not your mate” I whispered and she rolled.

“Guys, let’s go back,” Archer said and was about to leave when Hola stood in front of him.

“Is she your mate?” Hola asked, gazing at him.

He stood there for some minutes staring at her before nodding his head, Hola glanced at him then Celesta, and after that, he left with her friends.

“Archer, why did you lie to her” I whispered but he ignored me then we left the forest.

Hours later, we got to Archer’s Mansion and we both sat down in the living room. We were all having some conversation when Archer’s mother showed up.

“Mom,” Archer called.

“You guys are here already. Archer, I thought you said you wanna spend the day with Adrian and Celesta,” His mother said, climbing the stairs down.

“Mother, I don’t have time for that. Ryker challenged me today so I need to compete with him tomorrow because the elders are gonna choose the person who wins the competition as the leader of the pack ” Archer said and she glanced at us then we nodded.

“So Materor and his son haven't given up on this, he wants to make his son the leader of this pack so that he can punish us… with him doing this, I am sure he is the one that killed your father and not Gebe,” His mother said, sadly.

“Mom, take it easy, we are not even sure if Father is even dead, we just announced he is dead because we just can’t find his body,” Archer said.

Archer ordered one of the maids to get his mother water.

“Archer, are you sure you are ready to compete with Ryker, you know his cunning,” I said and he nodded.

“I want to show him that he can never be the leader of the pack and make sure I figure out the real murderer of my father,” He said, gazing at us.

After some minutes, Celesta and I left the Mansion and headed straight to the club, we got there and met Ryker stringing, and we sat down next to him.

“Are you scared of Archer, is that the reason why you are drinking here?” I questioned and he smirked.

“Why would I be scared of him? When I become the leader, I am gonna kill him and his mother while the two of you will rot in prison” He said.

“Really? Do you think you can compete with the strongest Alpha in this pack and win… Ryker, you better not embarrass yourself in this competition because we all know you are not stronger than Archer. Bro

, I think you should give up” Celeta said and patted his shoulder then walked away while I sat down there.
