CHAPTER.10

Archer Pov:

I got back to the Mansion and met the elders sitting on the sofa, waiting patiently for me. Immediately they saw me, they all greeted me and I responded, I sat down with Elder Fridolf.

“What are you doing here now?” I asked, gazing at him.

“Archer, have you forgotten you became a leader? As a leader, there are many things you need to take notice of. You are the strongest among everyone in this pack, so you need to train those that will go to war”, Elder Adalwolf said.

“Why would I train them? There should be someone that will train them, even if it should be everyone that will go to war. What if Gebe's plan and I are not the same… he? He has already sent us the day the war would begin. I think we should be the one to start the war before he can so that our plan can go as planned”, I said, and they all nodded except Elder Fridolf.

“Fridolf, why don’t you agree? Do you want Gebe to kill us before we make a move? '' Elder Gonzalo said, gazing at him.

“Okay, fine” Fridolf nodded.

After a few minutes, we were done with the discussion, so the elders left. As soon as they left, I stood up and went to Adrian’s place. When I got there, I met him sitting in the living room pressing his phone.

“Hey, you didn’t even lock the door,” I said as I sat down on the armed chair.

“Yes, I know you’re gonna come here 'cause you have nowhere to go,” he said as he dropped the phone on the table.

“Hmmm”

“I heard the elders came to your place… Now that you have become the leader, I hope you won’t forget us. There will be a ceremony tomorrow for you” he said, and I nodded.

“How did you know the elders came to my place or did they inform you when they were coming?” I questioned.

“No, I…I…was going to your place when I spotted them,” he said, but I knew he was lying.

“Are you telling the truth?” I asked.

“Yes,” He said with a nod.

We were busy having fun when we heard the alarm. I went to open the door. When I opened it, I met Celeta in front of me, she pushed me in and sat down on the sofa with me.

“Archer, how could you lie to me? Hola is not from this pack but from the Blood Crest Pack. He is even Gebe’s daughter”, She said with a frown.

Adrian and I both exchanged glances and I whispered to

Adrian “ How did she find out? Did you tell her?”

“No” He shook his head and I turned back to Celesta.

“How do you find out? Who told you?” I questioned, but she scoffed.

“You still care for your enemy's daughter… well, I found out myself, do you know that if the elders find out that you are with the enemy's daughter, they will be annoyed and they might even be removed from becoming the elders because they would think you betray the pack,” She said.

“I know but she is my mate” I muttered.

“What ?” She exclaimed.

I nodded slowly.

“So please don’t tell anyone about it,” I said, but she refused.

“Please, do you want her to get killed because of your foolishness” I said with a frown.

“Okay, fine… I am gonna keep it a secret but you need to stay away from her, we don’t know what Gebe is planning and I heard the elders saying there is a spy among us”. She said, gazing at me.

Not long after we were done discussing, we left the Mansion to enjoy ourselves together because after today I won’t have time for that. I need to start training because the war is gonna begin soon, and I want to make sure I will be the one to kill Gebe with my bare hands. We were on our way to the club when we spotted Ryker. As soon as he saw us, he approached us.

“Hey, do you think that after what you did I am gonna leave you alone?” He said as I lay his hand on my shoulder.

“I know you won’t, do you know the reason why I don’t care? That's because I am not scared of you and now that I have become the leader of this I will make sure you and your father suffer” I said and he smirked.

“Really? Do you think becoming the leader of the pack will make Gebe stop the war… when your father was the leader of the pack, he couldn't protect himself not to talking of the pack. Do you think you will be able to protect everyone” He said with a smile.

I got angry and was about to hit him when Celesta and Adrian stopped, he smiled as he walked away.

“Gosh, why did you guys stop me? I need to teach that i***t a lesson, I think there is something he is hiding” I said as we walked away.

“Archer, you need to calm yourself down, he is my saying that just to get on your nerves, he knows your father is your weakness,” Adrian said, gazing at me.

“Guys, don’t you think it’s been a while since we saw Mateo,” Celesta said.

“You know how cunning Ryker’s dad is, that is hiding something… we are cousins but he still threatens my mom to stop me from being the leader of this pack because he wants his son to become the leader of the pack,” I said.

“That i***t, how dare he threaten your mom… I wish I could kill him” Celesta gritted.

Minutes later, we got to the woods, we couldn’t go to the club because my friends thought I wouldn’t be able to calm my anger when I saw Ryker at the club, and the leader was not permitted to go to the club because I needed to start planning for the war, everyone knows Gebe is cunning, the only person he is after is me right now, he wants me dead so that he can rule the packs. I need to find out who he is so that I can find my father… I don't know if my father is dead or alive but since we didn’t find his corpse we all thought he was dead but I need to confirm if he is alive and was kept somewhere or if he is dead.

“Tomorrow is gonna be day 1. I will lead the park for the war… we need to start preparing for the war because we don’t know when the war will begin, I wish I could use his daughter to threaten but she is my mate. I will find a way to get to him”
