Chapter 2

Skye

The evening was calm and peaceful, that was until a shrill sound was heard in the night, a frightening howl, “oh my God they found us!!!"....

I said in extreme panick, “hide Luna" Tristan said as he hurriedly grabbed his shot gun and headed for the window, I took quick steps and carried Luna “mummy what's going on?" She asked me “honey stay under the bed and don't make any sound okay" I said as I left her there, as I was headed to the living room, I heard a gun shot, and a wolf howl.

Our door was kicked down and two fierce looking wolves came in, Tristan fired his gun but they were so swift he missed, and one of them hut him, he flew across the room “Tristan!" I yelled in anger, I hadn't morphed all these years because I was trying to let go of the past, but watching Tristan bleeding across the room struggling to get up sparked something inside of me, slowly I started shifting, my dorm becoming more wolf like, my eyes became blue, my fur white, but I was seeing red.

The wolf that hit Tristan I attacked and killed him at the spot, the other, attacked me from behind I maneuvered skillfully away from him but more wolves poured into the room, I tried to ward them off all alone as Tristan, was loosing a lot of blood, but I wasn't successful. A wolf sank his fangs into my body, followed by another, then they hit me a cross the room and I changed back into human form, almost naked, panting heavily for breath, as I couldnt move anymore.

Then Emit walked into the room “you have always been the feisty one Skye" he said as he bent down to my battered body in the floor, “such a shame, we would've been great you and I, such a shame you left me, and broke our laws for this," he said as he stood up and picked up the body of Tristan and was about to snap his neck, Tristan stared right at me, and muttered “ill always love you, though our time was brief I wouldn't change a thing" “how touching" Emit said as h broke Tristan's neck.

I screamed my lungs out feeling empty and hollow, he walked back to me “ill give you a chance here, you could come with me right now, and I'll see what I can do about your situation" I was angry, I spat at his face “ill get you for this, Emit, be it in this life time or the next, i'd rather die than go with you"..

Emit's pov

I saw Skye's tempting but battered body on the floor so I decided to give her a choice, but she spat on my face, “so be it" I said as I broke her neck also, but deep down inside of me I was pained, that she'd left me.

As we were about to leave the place, all our attention was drawn towards a little girl, crawling out from under the bed, I was furious that she had a child with that human, I walked towards the child with every intention of ending it's life, but when I carried it, I saw Skye's face, she had her wine coloured eyes, and the way the child clutched onto me, I could tell it also had the ability to morph.

“what do we do about the child chief?" One of my pack members asked me “the children shouldn't have to suffer for the sins of the parents" I said as we all headed out.

Luna's pov

“my name is Luna Baez and I'm 12vyears old, I'm in the 7th grade, and uhhh... I forgot my line again" I said laughing, Remus chuckled a little “tiuve got to take your presentation serious Luna, this makes up for more than half of your grade this semester" he said with his voice that sounded like he was always scolding me, but I liked it Remus was the only one who ever showed any atim of concern towards my well being, even though he was only a year and a half older than me, he still acted like a parent.

“okay okay fine I'll focus now but I can't learn anything in an empty stomach now can I?" I said “tell you what you finish this presentation you can have all the steak that you can eat" he said “you promise" I said pouting my lips lke the little girl that I was “cross my heart" he said and I focussed more on learning.

Emits pov

I came out of my building with two of pack members and i saw my son playing with Luna, They looked shocked, “chief your son is the heir to our pack, if the others see this, there would be an uproar, one of them said and the other continued “i don't know why you brought her here in the first place" “enough both of you alright" I said slightly angry.

Something unusual happened, Remus ran away with the steak that Luna was eating, but she couldn't catch up with him, “you've got to catch me Luna if you want this" he said then morphed slightly, he looked slightly like a human and half wolf, with clothes on, and kept on running, “no fair I can't morph or move that fast," she protested.

“too bad I'll eat it all then," we heard his voice from a distance, she looked up you could tell that she was upset, her eyes turned blue, and her red hair had a slight shade of white, her feature, were slightly like, like, a wolf, “remarkable!" One of my pack members said, even I was surprised k, she looked just like her mother, the only one who had a white fur colour, I was taken aback.

The speed she moved at was more of a blur, we couldn't keep up with her at our current form. Both the people with me where completely bewildered.

Luna's pov

I was feeling upset that Remus had ran away with my lunch, he knows how much I hated it when my lunch is tampered with, I felt this slight ache in my body, I felt heat all over but I was still more upset for my lunch, and immediately, I felt a click in my eyes, I could see the heat his body gave off, he appeared red in colour, my sense of smell was greatly improved, and I ran faster than I had ever run in my life.

I caught Remus but I couldn't control my self to stop while running at such speed and I ended up falling on him and we both landed on the floor with a thud. He starred at me as he was Laughing “my steak" I demanded, and he gave it to me “look on the bright side, you caught up with me" he said as I just noticed the way my body felt.

“yeah I guess I did" i said as my features faded away, “and now it's gone" I said as the both of us laughed, still on the floor, “try morphing again" he said as I sat upright, I clutched my fist just putting energy but nothing happened “i dont think that I can" I said again slightly disappointed.

7 years had passed and Remus was getting ready to challenge his father for the title of alpha, his dad was already waiting for him at the square, and he was running late already, “Remus are you sure that is can do this, you know you could wait a little longer until you are ready" I said trying to convince him as we were heading to the venue.

He looked at me “don't worry about me, Luna how are you going to watch the event they wouldn't let you in" he said taking my mind of the fact that he could get badly injured if he doesn't win his dad, “ill manage" I sad as he went up ahead of me and I didn't go anywhere further, before I get stoned at for coming near one of their Sacred events.

I wondered how he was holding up, i really wanted to see what was happening, then a thought crossed my mind. I climbed a tree and luckily I could see everything that was taking place.

Remus had just arrived at the square, where the previous alpha was waiting for him, he morphed into his black and gold looking wolf and so did his dad, they both had similar features, but his dad had more scars than Remus, the both of them charged rowards each other and....
