Chapter 3

Remus's pov

We charged towards each other and ended up hitting ourselves, my dad hit me more than I hit him, I must say he was way more skillful than I am, I could hear his voice in my head, yeah that's how the pack shares information when morphed. “you disapoint me son, because of that half pup you have grown weaker than I expected".

He said “dont drag Luna into this dad!" I said and he hit me again, and again, and again, it seemed that he wanted to kill me, I bled from multiple sides “after you loose this battle son, you see that girl, sitting on that tree over there," he said motioning his head to the direction of a tree that I noticed Luna was sitting,“i am going to kill her, she doesn't belong her, and is not welcome here, she has distracted you from learning and doing all your duties," he said with a tone of finality.

I was weak, injured in multiple places, but i had to get up, “hit me all you want, but leave Luna out of this!" I said as I felt my eyes glow with anger, I stood up and lunged towards him but this time he hit me so hard that I completely fell. Luna screamed from the tree that she was in, she hurriedly ran towards my direction, but they didn't let her through, someone struck her with their palm, I looked at her as she stared back at me with tears in my eyes.

I put all my pain behind me and stood up, I aimed for under my dad's gullet, lunged forward, as I sunk my teeth into it, he couldn't move, he tried to struggle free but he couldn't, I noticed that his eyes had started to close, so I let go of his throat, as he hurriedly caught his breath, I howled In superiority, then I stared at the i***t that hit Luna and dived on him, he fell to the ground, “dont you ever lay a hand on her ever again!" I said furiously, and walked towards Luna she seemed shaken.

“they won't ever hurt you ever again" I said she looked at me and just nodded. she could also hear my voice in her head.

Luna's pov

It's been three days I haven't seen Remus ever since he became alpha and I was worried, no one talked to me and so I didn't know how to enquire about him, I tried sneaking into his father's house, but there were a lot of people guarding the place, but I didn't give up, I threw a big stone towards the other part if the forest where I wasn't and the guard in front of me went ahead to check it out so I used that avenue to climb up through the fence.

I kept on sneaking, hiding and ducking whenever I had the chance, and finally I got into the house, I was heading towards the main living room when I over heard a conversation that I wish I didn't hear. both his father's advisors were with him.

“because of that fiasco you pulled on the day you became alpha, the people are furious, they were never in support of your dad bringing in that half human here in the first place and now you act like she is one of our own" one of the advisors said “she is one of our own" he tried defending me “tou and I both know that isnt true Remus" the other advisor said, “theyll kill her if you don't take action fast, the alpha of our pack can't be seen with a half pup" they said

“since i cant be seen with her I'll stay away from her" he said and my heart sank, I was so upset, I wished the ground would just open up and swallow me whole, why did my parents have to leave me so early, I am completely despised by everyone here and now Remus had also joined them, it was all to much, tears escaped my eyes, as I felt my eyes click, a little bit of white fur had started to cover my skin, and I ran, faster than I had ever run before.

I shut myself up in the house that I grew up In. I had finished high school and wasn't sure if I wanted to go to college but I guessed now I know that I want to so I could get out of here for a little while, maybe in my absence things would cool down a bit, who knows maybe now that Remus is alpha I could become his mate and maybe, be accepted for a change, with that thought I applied for admissions into the college nearby.

Days passed and I was all alone, but suddenly I heard a slight rustle in the forest, then I saw a little group of people at least, 12 of them, and Remus was leading them, his dad also was with them, “luna you are no longer welcome here" Remus said calmly and composed “Remus what are you talking about? I didn't do anything wrong?" I said.

“my dad made a mistake by letting you stay here, and frankly I wonder how you have lasted here this long, as the new alpha I hereby banish you from this clan and village, if you ever step foot here again, then we will be sure to kill you a half pup has no place here" Remus said with a tone of finality in his voice.

I thought I was broken before but this feeling I felt inside was on another level, Remus acting Iike I never meant anything to him, it hurt a lot, I struggled hard to fight the tears that welled up in my eye, I wasn't going to cry in front of these people, I took lingering strides as I was in the path to leaving the village.

So much hatred, all alone, all the emptiness I felt inside came crashing down on me, as I walked I stared back slowly at Remus, so I never meant anything to him, my life here never mattered, wow, I was still walking when a tree leaf hit my face, and the tear that I was struggling to hold from dropping fell to the ground.

I remembered the first time I ever morphed Remus was there, he watched me grow up, he stood up for me when everyone was against me, he even did it on the day he became alpha, that's the day that everything between us changed, I remembered his final word to me “a half pup does not belong here".

Anger welled up inside me as I realized that he had become one of them “when I come back, I am going to make sure that every one of you feel the hurt that I am feeling right now and that's a promise" I said as my facial expression looked evil.

Authors pov

Luna had gotten unto the road as lightening could be seen flashing in the sky, the clouds were grey and looked really heavy like it was going to rain any second, she reaches into her bag and brings out a letter of acceptance that she had received into Virginia community college of Education, she still had the letter on her hand when a drop of her tear fell in it, followed by slow droplets of rain fall.

She returns the paper back into her back pack as she walks under the ever increasing rain, sobbing silently, she past through where she did her elementary school down to the point where she finished high school, ahe could see flashed of both Remus and her, coming back from school.

Another lightening bolt crackles through the sky, lightening up darkened weather, it was 4:pm in the evening but it already looks like 7 pm, she is totally soaked from head till toe, as she approaches the schools entrance, she started at it for a while then read what was written on the letter head of the pillar of the school, “welcome to Virginia Community College".
