All our guests bowed before us and it felt weird, as if I were a Queen and Xander the King.
What had me curious, was the purpose of the goblet. Why do they need it?
Upon that question, Xander picked it up and drank from it. Is there some weird holy juice in there?
He turned to me and offered me the goblet. "What is it?"
"It's holy water, blessed by the Priest," he said and I looked at him all confused.
I wanted to say something snarky like, -Is he afraid that we might be vampires? - but I held my tongue and just drank from the goblet.
"The Ritual is complete," Alpha Farris called out. I don't even know if we get to call him Alpha anymore.
"Time to go, my son. Business is waiting."
Seriously? Business is more important than his sons wedding day?
