Hilary and I got everything ready for our journey to the other side of the portal. Penelope has been crying for half an hour, saying that she would run away if I went through and Ron has been trying to calm her down.
It is sweet of her to be concerned about me, but it got very annoying very fast.
"Time to go, Xander. Ready?"
"I'm ready."
"Noooo! Don't go," Penelope cried even louder and it made me want to run through the portal as fast as I could so I couldn't hear her cry anymore.
"Penelope, please stop it. Everything is going to be fine. Come here," I pulled her into my arms and she hugged me back tightly.
"What if anything happens to you?"
"Then you'll take over," I joked and she cried even more, burying her face on my chest and I regretted that comment immediate
