Chapter 20.
Amaya's steps became unsteady as she approached her pack. The pack that had been destroyed for the past eight years.
The last time she saw the place, she had only taken a glance at it. It was the same night she decided to go to Blackwood Pack to take her revenge.
She climbed the little hill that held her pack at the top.
Her steps faltered as she looked around in uncertainty.
Was this her pack? The place was bushy, with tall herbs and shrubs in every corner.
No! Not tall grass.
"He turned my father's pack into a farm yarn?" Shock and anger were all she felt. When she saw a mass of maize on the land.
'I see that too.' Ena shook her head.
This was disheartening. He killed everyone and turned the pack into a maize farm.
Amaya couldn't afford to go any further. She placed her butt on a small rock that was next to her.
She brought her knees to her chest and buried her face in them.
Hot tears trailed down her eyes.
What did they ever do? What did her parents do to Tobias to deserve such a tragic end?
He was probably farming their dead bodies. Her father, mother, and brother.
She couldn't bear the thoughts.
"AH!" She screamed in agony as she repeatedly tapped her feet on the solid ground that held the dead remains of her pack members.
However, she quickly wiped her eyes, when she heard that deep and commanding voice in her head.
The voice that belonged to the person who gave her different emotions whenever she was next to him.
The voice belonged to the boy whose father eradicated everyone in her pack.
The voice belonged to the boy whose father she was about to kill and probably kill everyone in his pack, including him.
She wouldn't spare anyone. She wouldn't let her emotions take over her. She had to get justice for her parents.
Whatever she had for Hiro couldn't die for all she cared about.
'Kazumi and my father have been asking after you. You better come back now.'
Hiro mind-linked her, just as he always does. He must have sensed that she wasn’t home.
Then, she wanted to ask if he wasn't worried about her as well.
But then, she remembered that she couldn't mind-link him. Again, she wasn't going to allow her emotions to take over her.
With that, she stood with courage and determination ready to take her revenge any of these days. She made her way to Blackwood pack.

After mind-linking Amaya, Hiro sat on his bed with a deep frown on his face.
They always say no one will come to help you until you help yourself. That's what was on his mind at this time. He needed to do something about all that was happening around him.
He couldn't just fold his arms and act like nothing was going on which indeed, something was truly going on with him.
He quickly got up from his bed and got dressed up. It was high time he found a solution to his problem. He could never rely on a family that didn't like him and could never help.
There was only one place to go. A place he has been dreading to visit for the longest time now. He had never loved going there because he didn't know if that place had any solution to his problem.
But his mind was finally made up.
"Where are you going?" Hiro stopped at the back door when he heard his father's distant voice. The voice that held no affection to it. It always sounded like he was compelled to talk to his child.
"To the cabin." He responded uninterested. He didn't have the time to sit and exchange words with his father.
Tobias wasn't the best, but Hiro couldn't deny the fact that he was his father.
He didn't get a response from Tobias after that. He decided to leave until he spoke again, making him stop.
"The girl. I haven't seen her all day." He wanted to tell him that he wasn't the girl's keeper, but decided on it.
He had heard Kazumi and his father talking about the girl earlier on, so he had mind-linked her.
"I have no idea. Perhaps you should ask Kazumi. He might have an idea."
After that, he walked away without another word.
Tobias, who couldn't say anything either, had to leave.
Hiro could sense where Amaya had gone, but he didn't know where exactly.
And that's one of the things he wanted to know about. How could he do all that?
He has not been able to do that with anyone, not until the white-haired girl showed up at his pack.
After a few hours of walking, Hiro finally arrived at his Cabin.
It was located at the edge of the pack but it was still on the pack land.
The area was surrounded by a couple of trees, and shrubs. Across the little forest, was a clear exit that led to the Luminous spring.
This cabin was his secret place to sort for comfort, each time he was down and needed to clear his head.
He inserted the key and opened the door. He stood at the entrance and looked inside.
It was a modern wooden cabin.
It had a couple of sofas, a table in the living room, and a kitchen. On the next story was the bedroom.
But he didn't have the time for that luxury.
He had to go directly to where he wanted to go.
With nothing on him, he had to leave. Luckily, the said place wasn't far from his cabin.
It was a sacred place, but he had to go.
After about an hour, he arrived.
He stared at the long entrance that made its way to a waterfall in the far distance.
As tradition, he took off his shoes, held them with his hands, and made his way to the narrow entrance.
The silver glow of the waterfall made him stop. He kept his shoes on the sidewalk, after which he bowed on one knee to pay his respect.
No one came to this side of the park unless it was someone from the alpha's house; if only they had something important to do.
"Lady Ashina." He called out. He lifted his head and stood up.
"What brings you to my area, blessed child."
A deep frown appeared on Hiro's face. Blessed child!
How in the name of the universe was he blessed?
He shook that thought out of his head. He couldn't afford to waste her time.
"I have come in respect to the recent happenings around me, my lady," Hiro stated.
Lady Ashina communicated directly with the mood goddess and no one hardly saw her face.
You could only hear her voice.
"What happened?" She asked gently.
The ones that had been in his life or those that started happening after the white-haired girl arrived?
Hiro though. Then he finally decided to let everything out. There was no need to keep anything.
"I'm 25 years old without any wolf..." his throat burned with anguish as he let out.
"This damn scare on my face. " His hand walked up to the scar on his face. It touched thick blood.
He brought the hand up to his face. Blood just as always. This was more than a curse.
"My father hates me...no one in the park respects me...why is all that happening to me?"
He almost felt tears run down his face.
But he reminded himself to be strong.
"Is that the only reason you came here?" Lady Ashina asked.
Hiro glanced around. That wasn't the only reason.
"There is this girl with white hair in the pack. I can mind link her. I can also feel when she is in danger and sometimes, I can hear her thoughts. Nothing like that has happened before with anyone..."
No even with the girl I sleep with. He said that in his mind.
He was right. He couldn't do that with anyone and when suddenly Amaya arrived, he started having all that.
"You don't have to go far to search when the solution to every one of your problems is around you. You just have to find out. You can now leave."
Hiro was dumbfounded when he stood up. The solution around him?
How was that possible?
He woke up with drunken steps.
This couldn't be real. There was a solution around him and he had been suffering all this while?
Since birth?
How?
Did his father know about this and didn't tell him? Did he want to punish him for a crime he did not commit, a crime he knew nothing about?
