Chapter Twenty-SevenSomething cold closed around my wrists and jerked my arms high above my head. Before I registered the pain, a wet, gooey substance smelling of earth and hay covered my lips. My eyes flew open, and I cursed my stupidity for being so trusting. A Seelie stood above me–the one with pointy ears and canine teeth. Fool, stupid. The lack of a door meant I couldn't go out, not that people couldn't waltz in. And being under the hospitality code didn't mean I was safe, only that whoever broke it would deal with Titania's wrath. I called myself all kinds of stupid, from red to white and all colors in between and tried to wiggle free, freezing when the guy pressed something sharp to my neck. From the look of triumph in his eyes, he wasn't going to waste time on words or torture. H
