Finding the truth
Ada is a small town girl, she has long thick ginger hair that comes up to her hip bone. She has green eyes and small brown freckles adorned her cheeks and nose. She is small in stature; unbeknownst to her, she is from a long serving bloodline. Each generation of her family when they turn 16 awake their powers.
Ada was 3 months from turning 16 and she moved in with her grandmother her only family left as her family died in an accident.
Ada’s grandmother Lilly was a sweet old lady who lived in a small cottage in the middle of no where actually called Pentney in the uk where as Ada grew up in busy London. This was different for her the quiet life hidden away.
Today was a Tuesday morning nothing really to do but help her grandma with the chores. But remember don’t go into the cellar as that was forbidden. She and her grandma were cleaning today and by afternoon she and her grandma had scrubbed the house clean and she was sent to the local shop to get some things needed for tea. Her grandmother made sure she had her list and money and she was off but was told not to come home until the street lights came on and they would cook the meal. She was looking forward to her grandmothers cottage pie.
Ahhhh Ada had come off her bike, she had no choice but to go home early as she has a small gash on her leg that needed tending. She road home and propped her bike on the wall and opened the bright green door. When she stopped!!! There was four maybe five voices coming from the kitchen so she shouted “hey grams I cut my knee can you help me find a plaster”. Lilly cam through furious the interruption could this not have waited? I was in a meeting. A meeting about what?? Ada questioned it doesn’t matter let’s clean you up.
Ada saw something glowing in her grandmothers hand but she was not sure what it was and then remembered there were people in that room with her talking and wondered when did they leave she was sure they had not gone though the door as she would have heard it close. She found herself tired all of a sudden the glow from her grandmothers hand intensifying and she fell into a deep sleep.
Get up sweetheart her grandmother said as she came in opening the curtains. I have made breakfast and you have thing to do for me today. Ada rolled over in her bed as the light was too much for her eyes. As she paired out from the covers, she noticed a bacon sandwich, a glass of orange juice and a much loved cup of coffee that her grandma had made her.
So Grandma, what do you have planned for me today? She asked sweetly well my dear. I need you to do some work in the garden. The vegetable patch looks like it’s been run through by a pack of badges and needs pruning when you’ve done that you can connect to town and you can get Some apples and we can make a sweet home apple pie with home-made custard of course. Grandma, what did I see in your hand last night? Oh nothing nothing nothing you have to worry about if you go. After a few hours of gardening Ada came back in to get a glass of water And found her Grandma on the floor. She rushed to the phone and called 999 once they got there she had gone the last known living relative she had had gone. Aidan ran and ran and ran and ran until she couldn’t run anymore. She had waiting until dark to slowly creep back into the house. She remembered that her grandma told her never to go into the seller. She remembered the weird glow thing that her grandma had in her hand and how she was confused confused about what was going on confused what may happen she decided that tonight she would go to bed hungry And tomorrow she would figure it out.
She woke up mid afternoon, confused and dazed to someone standing at the end of her bed. She opened her eyes rubbed them slightly to see a girl standing at the foot of her bed. Hi, my name is Aaliyah, but you can call me Ali. Lily told me so much about you. Do you know why? I’m here? Either? Confuse looked at her and said no why are you here? She stopped do you know what happened? I have so many questions. Do you even know how to answer any?
Come with me, said Ali, I have lots to show you and lots to tell you about but first do you know where your Grandma kept her amethyst crystal? No why would I know something is silly as that? Ali side and said we need to find it so you can come with me they searched high and low throughout the whole house and found it in a small lock box under her bed okay? This is gonna sound really weird but what I need you to do is I need you to hold this crystal and walk through the cellar door why would I do that? Said Ada? I don’t understand. Just trust me we need to see the tree and hope that the protectors of it know how to help us. This is insane said Ada I’m not going anywhere with you Ali. I don’t even know who you are alone how you need my grandmother. Stop. Please just leave me be no you’re coming with me. Said Ali. She opened the door and pushed Ada through the door she fell but not on stairs like she thought on a winding twisting sort of slide but it was made out of tree. On the way down, she must’ve bumped her head as she awoke in a weird place with people arguing around her.
What I have no other choice but to bring her here, you should have waited if there are protocols for this. And what would they have done? Knocked her out and brought her anyway at least this way she came willingly sort of yes but she still doesn’t know what she needs to know.
Hello Ali, what’s going on? I’m really confused hi sweet girl you are fine. We’ve just come to the nether world. What you’re starting to sound delusional as my Grandma and she had a couple of bottles of wine what are we going to do with her? She doesn’t even know what she needs to do. How can we help someone when we’re the ones that need the help? Her family have been taken and she doesn’t even know the truth.
Hang on one second, my family have been taken. I thought they were killed in that car accident who are you? This is ridiculous. What am I supposed to be doing? I want to go home. You can’t go dear girl my name is
