The sounding drums, the blowing trumpets; someone must have committed a sacrilege in the ocean, and who was it? That had gone against the sovereignty of the king; King Seb.
Oh no! Princess Monique walloped in jittery stance. Although she grew up in the palace, she and her sisters had no real relationship with their father, except of the relationship of a king and his subjects.
He ruled his subjects firmly as expected of him as a king. The real question was, what was happening? The atmosphere had already become as tense as the waves, in a four central rhythm. One could taste the smell in the air.
Queen Xavier III was chuckled up, finally the plan was being kicked into action. That good for nothing know it all, was going to be penalized and this time, they were witnesses.
As the guards rung the bell endlessly, the conundrum house was filled to the neck with people; with questions in everyone’s mind, who is the unlucky fellow and what punishment would be given to him or her.
People from the west side close, to the aisle of the forbidden entries, people of the capital, common citizens of the Boatswain were gathered together for judgement or to listen to the judgement of the king.
The interpreter enters, and the occasion begins with the thrilling voice of the Chief Speaker of the palace. Daisy quickly looked at the governor’s of the region of east bay and capital.
But, atlas! Their faces were dead silent, she couldn’t tell what it was all about, the only thing that kept retorting in her mind was her substantial plea, she made yesterday.
Hoping, she had not been caught or else, she was going to be banned, at least, if not killed. The sentence of the conundrum house was legal to everyone both royalty and commoners.
The Chief Speaker continues, as he holds in his hand a scroll, now! In the plight of the following circumstances, we would like to present the following suspect; the Princess Monique, to the conundrum stance!
Eyes shifted, whispers on every side Princess Monique? What? Wait! The princess?! Said another commoner.
Everyone loved Princess Monique for her vivacious nature.
She had the ability to make sad people happy.
She could turn the whole atmosphere with her wit, charm and bubbly personality.
She had the ambience of a real Princess or at most, what a princess was supposed to be like.
Daisy heaved a sigh of relief, at least it was not her! It was that risk taker Princess Monique – the crowds favorite, she scoffed.
The speaker requests for your presence ,Princess Monique! Said by the vice, who had been seated in a cocky posture in a crooked chair, He was older than his counterpart, in his early 70s, He had a subtle but fine tone.
Princess Monique mouth had been left agape the whole time. She didn’t know what to expect. She glanced through the crowd, she knew she had done a whole lot of things recently but what could she had done to warrant her a conundrum gathering.
Her thoughts scattered through, there was a lot of unsettlement from the crowd, as the bell ring ceaselessly, the tension only grew worse.
Only if she could point out what she did or done.
She staggered to the stance, not even a queen mother to wail on her behalf, her mother was late.
Her mother Queen Xeba had died during her second child delivery. She grew up too fast and too young on her own with the help of her nanny, who she now considered her mother.
But, for some reason the nanny could not be found , now that she needed her the most. Her wet eyes scurried through the crowd, where is she? She had gone to get the herbs market to shop for what was needed in the royal kitchen, but had not returned.
She then heard a voice, from the guards, walk a little faster. She was being escorted and later dragged violently to the dismay of most people.
Now! We can begin, said the Chief Speaker. You have been charged for treason against the king, your father! Said the Chief Speaker. I don’t understand? I don’t get it! I! How so?
Silence the king thundered in his husky voice; as the crowd murmured louder.
It became dead silent and the Chief Speaker continued; it has come to our notice that you are in cohorts with the prince of Pilaf.
Your goals are to usurp power, to take over power from the king through marriage and to merge the two kingdoms into one; in your reign with the death of the king in place.
Do you accept this or not? I don’t! With hot tears which had began to fall, retorted Princess Monique.
I have never had any ill intention towards the king or my people who I dearly love, and swore to protect. Please do believe me! I am innocent.
The Chief Speaker continues; I have the following evidences, may this two witnesses, Quinoa and Ferralite please do step forward.
Two dwarf mermaids make for the stand.
Please do tell the whole council what you had mentioned to the states and the king.
Quinoa taking a deep breath, looks into the crowds and starts, while we were on our way, jollying through the bulrushes, we overheard the prince of Pilaf and princess Monique, discussing their ascension to the throne.
We could not comprehend at first, but we hid behind the Bulrushes, only to figure out their schemes to take over the kingdom said Ferralite.
No! No way!! I would never do that, answered Princess Monique, I implore all of you, seated here today, to recheck this witnesses.
I had been preparing some herbs for a group of kids at pollen square replied Princess Monique. I beg you! Am innocent.
Do you have any witness to ascertain that you were not at the same position as the proposed traitor or could someone vouch for your whereabouts, Princess Monique? Answered the King, in a still but demanding voice.
No! Yes! I do. My nanny.
I had been with Nanny Manini since today.
We had gardening at dawn.
We brought some flowers and herbs, before she went to get a rare herb from the Market.
She is my witness, replied Princess Monique.
Nanny Manini!! Come take your stance thundered the King.
There was silence from the end of the sea to the other.
Manini was not in sight. Princess Monique was hoping that she would appear, any moment now.
I really hope you come for me, she kept muttering things to herself but Manini didn’t show up.
After waiting for a response without any response, the King sent his guards, to check on her, had she not heard the bells and ringing?
She had better had a good explanation.
The King signaled at his palace guard, which later whispered into the ears of the Chief Speaker.
This Convention would not take place and will be Postponed. In the next two days a reconciliation of the matter would be tabled by the court and king . The crowd is dismissed.
The crowd began dispersing and Princess Monique was being led into the dungeon of darkness. It was true what people said; Life indeed was feeble.
One could be up and at that same second, be down. If any one did tell her that she would sleep in a dungeon, talk less of the dungeon of darkness, she would have thought them insane. But here she was being led into the dungeon of darkness. They threw her in and shut the cage with chain.
She looked for a blink of hope as she held her breath, she drifted to the bottom of the cell.
