The rescue team brought both, Maki and the unconscious Elf, to the infirmary. After some short discussions, the team then left the room. Maki waited a little while before waking up. Maki wake up with sheer embarrassment written all over his face because what the people earlier discussed was about his rod of justice in full attention despite him being "unconscious". Maki erased the thought later and started collected his thoughts about what to do if ever people will ask as to why he was uninjured despite of the commotion. Maki's thoughts were scattered everywhere but suddenly stopped after hearing footsteps outside the room. He heard two people talking but did not recognize the other one so he went ahead and pretended to be unconscious again.
Unknown Person #1: I'm very sorry about this incident sir. I promise to discipline the teacher responsible for this incident. I can assure you that this was not our intention.
Unknown Person #2: Like I said, it's fine as long as nothing severe happened to my daughter, Mr. Principal Godfrey. I'm also here to ask something from this boy here. Now if you'll excuse me, kindly tend to your duties as the principal regarding this incident and you can rest assured that I will not do anything. But be prepared for the consequences if you make another mistake. She is one of my Princesses after all.
Mr. Godfrey: Understood, Mr. Aerolith. (bows and leaves the room) (tsk!)
Mr. Godfrey, the Principal of the Interracial Univerity, was a beastman that had the body structure of a wild boar. He had a big, pig-like nose, tusks growing protruding from his lower jaw, brown messy hair, dully brown eyes and was chosen to become the university's principal because of his Ultimate Move, the Sand Golemn. A principal should be capable of protecting his school is what Mr. Godfrey believes.
Mr. Aerolith: (puts a sound barrier on the entire room) Boy, I know your awake. Stop pretending.
Maki: Oh man! And I thought I can finally fool you this time, Mr. Aerolith.
Mr. Aerolith: Surely you jest. You are still five hundred years too early to fool my ears. You still can't control your heartbeat properly. And I also heard that you really took good care of my daughter back there.
Maki: Your daughter was in danger. Of course I should help the daughter of my family's benefactor.
Mr. Aerolith: Is touching boobs in public and inside the ice cube also considered help? You can't convince me with something like that, especially if that thing is standing in all of its glory.
Maki: (looks down and sees his rod of justice still in attention, then blushes) Uhh-Ahh-T-This? I uhh, uhh, it's not what it looks like, Mr. Aerolith. This is just a normal reaction from a healthy male seeing a beautiful woman. Yeah, that's what it is. Your daughter is a beautiful Elf, Mr. Aerolith. Ah ahaha ahahaha
Mr. Aerolith: And I should not punish you because?
Maki: Because...(thinking of a good scapegoat but...) Because, I like your daughter. I like her so much that I want to marry her! Please give your blessing, Daddy! (gets a sudden punch from Mr. Aerolith to the face)
Mr. Aerolith: (sighs) You hear that dear? This Human wants to marry you. What is your answer about his confession.
Maki: Wait....What? What the NANIIIII???? (nani is the japanese equivalent of what in english, so in this case this means what the what)
Aerolith: (gets up in bed, face covered with her beautiful hair but her ears are beet red) Hmp! i***t! Go die for all I care! I don't like you or anything. After all those embarrassing things you did to me. I will not forgive you.
Maki: I-I-I-I-I-I understand. (starts slouching)
Mr. Aerolith: (sigh, kids and there strong libido and idiocy) If that's what she said then I can't do anything to that.
Maki: W-Wait a second. Why did this happen? I thought you had something to say to me?
Mr. Aerolith: Oh that? I just did that to make that boarish (boorish) pig leave this room. Get it? Boar-ish and pig? AHAHAHAHAHAHA
Aerolith: Dad, that's your worst one yet! Why don't you go with this lowly Human and go die together somewhere!
Maki's face was slowly turning red because he held his laughter to the best of his ability after seeing Mr. Aerolith's dead face when his daughter roasted him. Mr. Aerolith saw Maki's reddening face and approached.
Mr. Aerolith: Ahh right, I did have something to tell you. Let's go die together, shall we?
Maki: (face suddenly turns pale) I-uhh...I thinks I heard Mom calling so I'll be going ahead now, Mr. Aerolith. (tries to leave the room but bumps to the barrier face flat) Ow!
Both the father and daughter let out a big laugh after seeing Maki making a fool of himself.
Mr. Aerolith: Come on, boy. We were just kidding around. Come back here.
Maki: W-What??? Then about her saying she doesn't like me also-
Aerolith: Nah, that was true. Go away.
Mr. Aerolith: Ahem. Jokes aside. I did come look for you, boy.
Aerolith: Right, dad. Why did you come here in person? And how do you know this Human? What is your relation with him that you needed to come here in person just for him. Don't tell me? No please no.
Mr. Aerolith: All right, stop right there. It's not what you think, dear. I came here because this boy here has a terrible illness. I check him regularly to monitor his status because we could die anytime if the seal I put on him is removed.
Aerolith: What kind of illness is that? And why we? Is that the reason why you're missing sometimes? And why do you keep helping him? It's not like they keep paying you, right?
Mr. Aerolith: It's difficult to explain, dear. But all I can say is that, if his illness is exposed to the world, it will spread all kinds of fatal diseases. It was a really good call for the doctors to call me when this child was born years ago because if we were a step late and the disease spread, nobody would be alive now.
Aerolith: What kind of disease is that, to warrant such a high danger level?
Mr. Aerolith: This will be the last information I will give to you for now. And you must keep this a secret. This boy was cursed by someone or something. He has a deathly sigil on his chest that has been sealed by me, that's why you can't see it now. That's all and remember not to tell anyone. This will certainly cause a panic.
Aerolith: Fine. I understand.
Maki: Thank you for always checking up on me, Mr. Aerolith. I hope that someday I will be able to repay this favor.
Mr. Aerolith: Then, I'll be expecting that repayment. With interest. Plus the erotic damage you did to my precious daughter. Plus the maintenance of the seal. Plus-
Maki: Alright I get it! Sheesh!
Mr. Aerolith: You should also stop pointing that thing to my daughter. (points at Maki's pants)
Maki and Aerolith both looked at Maki's pants. They both blushed at the same time. But Aerolith was so overwhelmed by the majesty of Maki's rod that she had unconsciously used fifty percent of her strength to punch Maki, sending him flying out again while also breaking the barrier that Mr. Aerolith made.
Aerolith: Wha-?! Dad, I'm sorry for breaking the barrier. What should I do now? I used much more strength to hit him now than this morning. I hope he's still alive. You can save anyone as long as they're breathing.
Mr. Aerolith: No need to worry, dear. Based on the trajectory his going, you sent him to his home. So he should thank you instead. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ahem. Now that, that is over, I'll be returning to work as well. Take care dear. And don't worry about him. Despite him looking like that, he's as tenacious as a blackroach. He will be back to school tomorrow without an injury.
Aerolith started to doubt if Maki really has a dangerous sigil embedded to his chest because if it really is dangerous as her father said, her father should not have that much of a carefree attitude. But Aerolith decided to not think about it now and just returned to sleep in the infirmary. Especially now that there is fresh air flowing from outside because of Maki's exit hole.
While Maki was flying or rather crashing into his home like a launched missile, he had a worried face. He thought that will there really be a day that he might have to fight God, Creare, in the future. Will he really be able to defeat God? How will he fight God when he himself does not even understand what kind of power he is wielding. But as he was about to crash into his home, Maki trashed those kind of thoughts for now and stopped himself in midair, so as to avoid destroying their home again. He saw his mom below already holding her phone, ready to call Mr. Aerolith again. With a smiling face to boot.
Mom: Darn it! Too bad you didn't destroy the house. I would've had an excuse to ask Mr. Aerolith for a new home.
Maki: What are you saying to your own son, Mom?! What would you do if I was just a normal Human and died if I really did crash into our home?
Mom: Good thing you're not a normal Human then. You always compare compare yourself to other normal Humans or other races. Why don't you accept your unique trait and instead of always thinking that your gift is a curse, Why don't you use that "curse" to help in destroying the house so that I can as Mr. Aerolith for a better one. HEHEHEHE
Maki: Sometimes I think you're more of a Demon than a Human, mom.
Mom: I take that as a compliment. Now come inside and tell me what's bothering your thoughts today.
Maki: What?! How did you know I was troubled?
Mom: I'm your mom. Of course I know everything about you.
Maki: Really?
Mom: Of course. We parents have a trait called Parental Instinct. Whenever something is bothering or troubling our child, we will feel it. That's why we, parents, always say or ask to you, our children, how was your day to see if you're being honest to us.
Maki: Wow! That's kind of amazing.
Mom: I know right? Also, this is also the best part about being a parent. We can say all kinds of things to you, and you would believe it no matter how absurd it is.
Maki: What?! You tricked me! Again!
Mom: AHAHAHAHAHA! It just means that you have not yet grown up. Since you're still not a grown up, whatever it is that's bothering you. Don't think much about it for now and enjoy your youth. Youth is all about enjoyment and gaining experience until adulthood. Adulting is about responsibilities and other boring stuff. So don't think about those boring stuff for now and enjoy your life. Time waits for no man. Once it passes, it will never ever come back. Let us, adults, worry those boring stuff and explore opportunities to serve as your foundation so that will have a strong foothold after you become and adult.
Maki: Now that you put it like that, I guess I will do that for now. You always know the thing I need the most. Thank you, mom. (hugs his mom then climbs to his room)
After Maki closed the door of his room, tears flowed out from his mom's eyes.
Mom: The best and also the hardest part of being a parent is that you can't show any sign of weakness in front of your children. No matter how worried we are. No matter how scared we are. No matter how many times we want to give up, because we want you to grow up happily without worry, we have to wear smiles whenever we see you. We don't have the option of giving up. And no matter what happens, we will support you until the day we will breathe our last. From the day you are born, until the day we die. No matter what you become, we will always we will always be your parents.
