Chapter NineteenAlmost reaching the pub door when he heard the scream coming from inside the house, Forrest set off running as best he could through the thick layer of snow. Pushing open the gate, he raced up the path and through the front door. He stopped when he saw Lisa leaning against the wall, her face turned away from the door to the lounge. He stepped towards the open door and peered through into the lounge. The body of a woman was lying on the blood-stained carpet, most of the flesh ripped away from the bones.
