Eclipse looks into my eyes, almost observing me to see if I was ready to withhold such a secret of his. “Alright Eloise listen and I will answer any questions” “alright” I say agreeing to listen “look this may not be a long explanation but you remember that day in the forest when a wolf attacked the bear that was coming after you that wolf was me” I look at him I. Confusion not knowing what to think of that sentence “you see Eloise, I can turn into a wolf when I wish to do so but there is another thing about this. Have you ever felt drawn towards the forest or past it?” “How did you know?” “Well there is an explanation for that, and it is the reason I chose you.” Wait so there is a reason? “The pull you felt was to where I was, my palace is at the other side of the forest and that day you were in the forest I was in there too” “so that's why I feel fine when you're in the manor and where I feel I should go when you aren’t?” “Indeed, that’s what it is.” “But why?” He sighs pondering if he is ready to release the information. “Well Eloise you are my mate” I’m sorry huh? He looks at me with appreciation and smiles as well, his eyes sparkle with the sun making the red even brighter. “Wait, didn't you have some mark on your head as a wolf?” “Yes I did and still do” he says as he lifts the section of hair covering his forehead, there is a red moon that glitters and glistens in the sun it’s like a ruby. “It’s so beautiful” I say as the sun sets. I look up to the orange sun, suddenly a breeze starts and Eclipse pulls me closer to his side. He then Looks at me “Eloise, what is your favorite color?” “Red, what might yours be?” He looks into my eyes “blue, it's getting dark shall we head back?” I nod as we walk each other inside the manor. “Eloise come here” that is my fathers voice, I look towards Eclipse and say “I will be there in a bit” he nods and heads off to the dining room, as I head off to my father. We step into his office as I get anxious when he turns to face me “you are late to dinner, you disgrace. You may have been with the king but that is no excuse for such idiocy DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!?!” tears started to flood my eyes “b-but” “CAN YOU SHUT UP FOR ONCE!!!” I went to a whisper as tears flow down my face “Are you CRYING?!? you are such a disappointment Eloise, just leave for dinner and stop crying. Get out of my sight” I rush out wiping the tears from my eyes as I hit something hard I open my eyes to see Eclipse. “You were crying and you were really upset, what happened?” “How did you know?” “I can feel your feelings, you will soon be able to feel mine too, so what happened” his voice got stern and his eyes darkened to a dark blood red “n-nothing” “ELOISE WHAT HAPPENED!” His voice was loud, hard, and strict, a tear escapes my eye. He lifts my face and wipes away the tear “hey it's alright, i'm sorry I just don't want you to have to lie to me” “my father just believes me to be a disappointment and a disgrace it's not the first he yelled at me it’s a quite common occurrence, but there has just been a lot more yelling and fights being directed my way lately so I started to cry” I hug him, it's the first time i can actually speak to someone about this without starting a fight or being yelled at more. He then embraces me and kisses me. “I will be with you to comfort and protect you Eloise.” “thank you Eclipse, we must be getting to dinner I suppose.” he gives me another kiss, takes my hand and we set off to the dining room.
