Chapter 12 dinner

We enter the dining room and take seats next to each other. I may not have known him long but it feels like I have known him forever. My mother is seated on the far side next to my father who has not yet entered after talking to me, and yet he finally enters, as Rosalie follows behind him. “Thank you for having me for dinner Sir” “oh of course it is lovely to have you here Rosaline” I look down since me and her still aren't on good terms. Suddenly Eclipse grabs my hand to let me know he is here,I look up and put a smile on my face hiding the fact of sorrow I have been feeling for she is ignoring me though I hope she will allow me to make an effort to apologize. her saying those things hurt… a lot but she is my best friend so I hope I can make it up to her “Hello Rosaline, my deepest apologies for the other day” Eclipse looked at me in shock as I say that sentence, But feels where I am coming from. When I say this Rosaline rolls her eyes “you were severely out of line Eloise, you can’t appreciate anything” Rosaline says in reply. She is twisting the knife, this hurts. Eclipse rubs my hand and reminds me he is there and I calm down a bit “I have wonderful news, a knight is my fiance, his name is Sir benjamin. Did anyone choose you, Eloise or do you have to go again next year, you poor thing.” Eclipse grits his teeth. “Oh my apologies, Eloise’s father said the king was here but might I ask why you are here your majesty?” “Well you see I chose Eloise as my fiance” Eclipse says this in confidence knowing this will make her annoyed “why on earth would you want Eloise?!?” “Because I liked her more than anyone else there” we both knew the rest of that answer so he had sought out an answer for what he was going to say to people I suppose. The chef takes in the food and places it. “How is it normally for Eloise here?” Eclipse looks my father dead in the eye as he says this. “Oh she is treated like a princess” “I mean socially” “uhhh well she has her mother and Rosaline” … he can’t even come up with a good excuse. “Alright then” “Rosaline you will be lucky to have Ben, he is a great and honorable knight.” Eclipse says this then looks towards me and says “just like how I’m lucky to have someone such as Eloise.” He smiles at me and whenever he smiles it makes me smile, it makes me joyful. Rosaline grits her teeth and rolls her eyes. “So what's it like living in the palace” my mother steps in to say this for she was curious. “It is big and I lived there my whole life so I suppose it's just a home to me” Eclipse keeps his eyes on me rather than my mother, who he was speaking to. I can tell Eclipse is still annoyed by Rosaline. We finish up our food and Eclipse dismisses himself so he can go off to bed. “Eloise I will see you in my office” my father says this with a strict tone, I can tell this can’t be good. I head off to my fathers office as he ordered. “Yes father?” I say as I enter. “You sad excuse of a child, you can’t even KEEP A FRIEND!!!” My father turns around angered and holding something, it's dark so it is hard to see what it is and then, suddenly he throws it. The object is flying toward me, It’s a vase. My father is directed diagonally from me, and the vase hits the side of my head. My vision is darkening and turning to black, my ears are ringing, I feel a sharp pain in my shoulder. It feels as if I'm burning. I collapse and all my senses numb. I just feel nothingness.
