9. Back To Pack

Virgie had just arrived at a hotel in Glick city. She and Martin had booked rooms in separate rooms. But Martin wanted to have fun with Virgie before returning to the room. "Honey, stop!" Virgie pushed Martin's body because he wanted to make out with her. "Oh, come on. After I meet with Edward Reynolds and make a deal, I have to return to the capital. We'll be apart for a while. I want to spend my time with you, Baby," Martin said. "I know. But I have something to do. I have to see my mom. Did you forget?" Virgie replied. "Oh... sorry. I forgot. I was so scared of parting with you that I forgot that this place is your hometown." Martin moved his sitting position so that it was straighter. "So, do you want me to accompany you?" Virgie shook her head. Of course, she didn't want Martin to meet Rebecca. Martin was human, after all. Her people wouldn't like to have anything to do with humans directly. "I'll have to see her myself. I'm not ready for you to meet her," Vergie replied. "Hey, why?" "You know my relationship with my mom isn't good, right? I ran away two years ago. I can't guarantee she won't be mad at me," Virgie replied. Martin looked deeply into Virgie's face. "We've been together for over a year. But why do I feel you're always hiding something from me?" Martin said. "Martin, it's not like that .... " Virgie was also at a loss as to how to explain. "I don't want you to see me and my mom fighting. I would be embarrassed. Please, understand." Martin sighed. He then hugged Virgie. "Okay. But next time, I don't want you to dodge," Martin said. Virgie smiled happily. She then kissed Martin on the lips. "Thank you. I love you, Martin." "And I feel even more," Martin replied. **** Virgie drove from the hotel in her car to her parents' house. The Glick area had an area that was very close to the forest, and the human population in this place was very small, so the werewolves could live there. There were several werewolf packs in town; the biggest ones were the Gold Moon Pack and the Dark Moon Pack. Virgie's car drove through the pine forests, then over a bridge. She arrived at the place where the wolves were. There were no humans in this place. Virgie saw the house of Victor Joseph, Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack. The house was still the same as before. It was luxurious and eye-catching. For some reason, every time she saw the house, Virgie felt that something was pulling at her heart. Rebecca came out of Victor's house. It looked like she had finished working in the house. When she saw her mother's face, Virgie felt overwhelming pain and longing. She still remembered how harsh Rebecca was when raising her as a child. Even though Virgie always tried to be an obedient child and also loved her mother. Virgie stopped her car right beside Rebecca, who was about to walk home. Rebecca was surprised when she saw a luxury car stop. She thought it was Selena or Edward's car. Virgie opened the car door and got out. Rebecca squinted her eyes when she saw a beautiful girl getting out of the car. She felt familiar with that woman. "Mom," Virgie greeted. Rebecca was shocked to see Virgie. Her ugly daughter had run away two years ago. Now she was a beautiful and successful woman. Her car looked so expensive. "Y-You are Virginia?" Rebecca said in disbelief. Virgie smiled. She then approached her mother and hugged her. "I Miss you, Mom," Virgie said. Rebecca couldn't believe that the ugly Virgie had now changed. She then released her hug from Virgie and tried to convince herself that this was not a dream. "How could you change?" asked Rebecca. "My wolf," Virgie replied. Suddenly Rebecca seemed to lose her mind. She didn't look happy when Virgie returned; her face now looked very beautiful. Even more beautiful than Selena. "You sold yourself?" asked Rebecca. "Mom! I became an actress! Do you know how to watch TV?" Rebecca was disappointed that her mom didn't seem happy that she was successful. She then pulled Rebecca's hand and got her into the car. "Get in the car. We'll talk at home," Virgie said. Rebecca was speechless. She just followed Virgie as she got into the car. Virgie immediately drove Rebecca back home. When she reached the front of the house. Rebecca stared at the place where she had grown up from childhood to eighteen years old. This house had stayed the same. It still looked very simple and also left bad memories for Virgie. Virgie got out of the car. She opened the door for her mother. Virgie embraced Rebecca while walking into the house. While Rebecca was just silent. "Do you want a better house, Mom?" Virgie asked. "If you want, I'll buy you a better house." "Oh, you're rich now?" Rebbeca asked as she scrutinized Virgie's appearance from top to bottom. "Have you really seen me on TV, Mom?" Virgie asked. She was sure that she was very popular right now. "Do you think I have time to watch TV? I have a lot of work to do!" Rebecca immediately let go of Virgie's hand that was embracing her. "What did you come back for? Didn't you already decide to leave the pack?" Even after Virgie became successful, Rebecca still showed her dislike for Virgie. "Mom, why are you always like this?" said Virgie. "What do you mean?" "Why do you always dislike whatever I do? Am I not your daughter? Now I have everything. I'm beautiful. I'm rich, and I'm popular. Why do you still not like me?" Virgie said with teary eyes. Rebecca didn't say anything. She just stared at Virgie's face. But a few moments later, she walked away. "Don't talk nonsense. You left us alone," Rebecca replied. "It was all because you stole my money! You also didn't like it when you discovered that Edward and I were mates!" Vergie squealed in disgust. "After becoming a famous celebrity, do you have the nerve to go against your mother?" Rebecca snapped. "You're still remembering the past. I have no money at all. So what's wrong with me borrowing my daughter's money? If you don't like it, I'll give it back. But don't come back here again!" Rebecca screeched.
