Virgie didn't say much during dinner with Roy Reynolds. They exchanged a few glances, but they didn't say anything.
"Okay." Virgie put down her knife and fork. "So why exactly did you invite me, Mr. Reynolds. I'm sure you wanted to talk to me about something." Virgie couldn't stand the silence.
"You know both my children, don't you?" Roy asked.
Virgie nodded, but she didn't understand what this question meant. "Yes, but I only know them. I'm not close to them. Why are you asking this, Mr. Reynolds?"
"My two sons got into a fight today," Roy Reynolds said instantly.
"Oh, okay. Well, then, what does that have to do with me?"
"Because of you," Roy said casually.
"Because of me?" Virgie was getting confused. "Why."
