Calling Dr Jones
Hayley stood in the blazing sun outside the medical centre awaiting for the medical team to arrive to show her around and introduce her to the medical director Dr Ian Roberts.
The paddock was just starting to fill up with the mechanics and race officials to start the preparations for the next few days of racing. She watched the hustle and bustle around her and starting to feel anxious as she was beginning to feel out of place, as people began to look at her knowing she wasn't a regular around the racing scene. She twiddled her pass in her fingers as a distraction hoping noone would come near her.
Finally someone came up to her "are you the new doc?" asked a young man in a pair of light chinos and a shirt with a pass around his neck staying he was a senior physician.
"Yes I'm Dr Jones and please no jokes about the name I got enough stick of it when I was at medical school" as the young man sniggered after she introduced herself "I hope I'm not late for my first day?"
"No, no, not at all infact your early. But we like that here. Dr
Roberts is a big fan of punctuality. I'm Dr Howard but you can call me Ryan" as he offered his hand out to her.
"Pleased to meet you Ryan I'm Hayley then" she replied as she shook his hand
"Well I guess I had better show you around then and let you see where you'll be working this weekend"
"That would be great thanks"
She followed Ryan down the paddock to a large building with the words centro medico outside it. He swiped his pass against the security panel and the doors slid open letting her enter into the world of caring for the formula one teams and drivers.
