EPISODE FOUR
It Ends Here
Ariana sucked in her tears and stopped right in front of Raymond, she wiped her face and smiled, "Have a nice life," she murmured and was about to leave when Raymond pulled her back.
She was stiff at first but then she turned to Raymond and looked directly into his eyes, hoping he would tell her that all he said earlier was a prank and he was only joking, "Here," Raymond said and stretched out his hand with some papers in them.
Ariana took them, she didn't know what was in the paper. She read through it and it was the same divorce paper she signed earlier, she looked up at Raymond and back at the paper, she couldn't understand why he gave them to her, "What is this about?," Ariana finally asked.
Raymond cleared his throat, "It is yours, you need them as an evidence that we are not together again," he replied briskly and walked away.
Ariana stared at Raymond as he walked into one of the rooms, she still couldn't believe what had happened, she still couldn't process it that her marriage with Raymond was over, she had never imagined her life without him.
She looked back at the papers and her hands shook, tears rolled down her eyes and dropped on the paper, her heart leaped into her throat. She looked at the room Raymond entered again and she tried her best to stop herself from going after him, her marriage with Raymond was over and they had to go their separate ways.
She walked to the shelf and picked up a tissue paper, she wiped her tears and went back to where her bags were. Ariana stopped and looked back at the house, she murmured under her breath and picked up her bags, it was like her whole life had come to an end.
Raymond got into the room and fell on a chair, it was the room he uses for his basic works.
He sat down for minutes without moving, it felt like his whole world had been paused, he knew keeping Ariana with himself would make him hurt her more.
The video kept replaying in his head whenever he sees her, he couldn't imagine spending the rest of his life with her again, all he could think of was the video.
He felt like it was best that they go their separate ways but he still couldn't cope with the fact that he wouldn't be with her again.
Raymond loved Ariana but he just couldn't stop himself from thinking about the video, and whenever he sees her, all he could feel was anger and sorrow.
A drop of tear tickled down Raymond's face and the next came down like a downpour, he stood up, "You betrayed me," Raymond shouted and hit the mug cup on the table, it fell on the floor and broke into pieces, "I trusted you Ariana," Raymond shouted again, and this time, he punched the flower vase on the table.
It fell also and some of the pieces pierced into his hand, but the pain was less, compared to what he was feeling at the moment, he fell on the floor and held on to the cushion chair like his life depended on it, "I trusted you Ariana," he murmured and let out a whimper.
Ariana stood under the hot sun and right outside the big black gate of Raymond's house, she stood in the same position for minutes and watched the house like it was going to move.
It was still confusing, and all that had happened still felt like a dream to her, she got married yesterday and the next thing was a divorce.
Other husbands would come home with a gift for their wife on their honeymoon, but Raymond came home with a divorce paper instead.
Ariana still wanted to know why Raymond chose to divorce her few hours after their marriage, she couldn't think of anything or what she might have done wrong. Ariana thought about him doing that to humiliate her, but she believed that wasn't the case.
Raymond would never do such thing, but she couldn't figure out what she did wrong.
Ariana picked up her bag again and stumbled to the street, her whole life was a mess and she couldn't think of what to do, her marriage was over and it felt like her life ended with it.
She began to strode on the street, and then rain started falling, she looked around to see if she could find a shed to hide under but there wasn't any close by.
She had no choice but to walk under the rain, her tears mixed with the rain and flowed down her body, her lips quavered as she walked with no destination in mind.
She kept walking until a car parked beside her, she stopped and the door came open. It was Raymond.
Raymond came down from the car with an umbrella and stopped right at Ariana's front, he stretched out his hand with a phone in it, "You forgot your phone," he muttered and looked into her eyes, "I don't want to see anything that will make me think of you. I want you out of my life forever," he added.
Ariana could only stare at him, she was short of words, she couldn't even take the phone from him.
Raymond cleared his throat and held her hand, "Don't ever show me your face again. It ends here," he said and placed the phone in her hand.
Ariana was dumbfounded, she shivered and watched Raymond as he got back into the car and drove off. She fell to the floor, she felt her heart leaped into her throat, Ariana held on to her chest and cried out, "What have I done wrong?," Ariana shouted, it was like the heaven heard her voice, a lighting followed her cry.
She beat her chest as hot tears gushed down her eyes, she felt humiliated and hurt at the same time, how would she tell her parents that her husband divorced her just a day after her marriage.
She thought about all these and her lips shook uncontrollably. A car pulled over beside her again, it was still Raymond.
