Even the soil beneath them wept. He felt a sense of loss, his world was shattering again. He had his emotions bottled up for so long he didn't know what to do.
He kept looking at that peaceful face. How was she without him? Was she happy? Did she suffer? Where did she go? He had so many questions she would never be able to answer them
" How did it happen?"
His twin wasn't his best friend he resented him perhaps as much as he would have resented himself if could uncage his emotions but he was the closest person to her and perhaps the only one who could answer him.
" Brain tumor,"
was the vague answer.
" But..."
" She didn't want your help," his brother said," She just wished her children could live well. She battled with cancer long enough"
Children? Did he hear correctly? She had kids? Seeing his expression his brother smirked.
" Don't think too much because they are yours too."
He looked terrified.
Leon looked at his twin, his usually calm demeanor was filled with guilt and anger
"The scariest thing isn't that I have fathered a child..." he said. His words were left hanging as he looked at the portrait of the woman he loved... loves. Her eyes seemed to be mocking him, even her angelic smile was screaming REVENGE. His heart ached. He began to feel. He had caged his emotions 20 years ago.
" im glad you are aware that you only fathered a child because you will never a father to us and there's a difference between being a father and fathering a child"
He looked into orbs he swore he will never see again.
Eyes that held so much passion, such fire he shrunk back a little, eyes that were his.
She smiled, now that was something he was familiar with. Her smile didn't quite touch her eyes. She was smiling through her teeth, the type that holds mischief, secrets, and something deep and dangerously beautiful. That was a smile he had used for the past twenty years.
He was in awe. She wouldn't be his only child but she would be the only girl. His common-law wife produces three sons but he felt for the first time like was a father. She didn't feel the same, she had even mastered the indifferent stare he worked so hard on.
" Dad, you're ready?" she asked his twin Leo and just like that he had lost her before he had her.
