The following morning, Houston and Lolo dropped the kids off at Eager and Luna’s house. Last night, Lolo told Houston about the incident between Rosa and Americus. How her father and mother acted as if they weren’t concerned about Rosa, he told her that if Rosa didn’t contact them in a few days, then they might as well forget Rosa ever existed. When Lolo asked him what he meant by that, Houston said that it's a rumor that Americus has some friends who are a little shady. That was all he said.
