“Okay.” Courtney and Ferris nod, still looking at the two empty pillows.
Cristiano kisses Americus's cheek and whispers. “Was she bleeding badly?”
Americus looks at him, confused, “Was who bleeding badly?”
He’s looking at the floor around the pillows, “Zuleyka's mother.”
“No, I didn’t touch her. She and Grazia went to the restroom. Is that the reason Ferris and Courtney are looking at me?” Americus looks at them, staring at her.
He chuckles, shaking his head. “We all thought you had gotten a hold of her.”
“Not tonight, maybe soon. I mean, soon, like before the wedding. There is something about her. It will come to me. Even her daughter knows something is off.” Amer
