Alpha David's POV

The place was so inconvenient for me that I had to stand up from where I sat to see what was happening on the other side. I knew that I had to do that because I wanted to leave there as soon as possible.

I got up, the girls were all around me and I needed air.

“ Can you excuse me?" I said.

“Okay," she moved out of the way.

I was glad that she did not try to argue with me at all, and it was impressive.

I got to my bedroom and fell on my bed.

“ What a terrible thing that is happening to me at this point in my life," I said.

I did not spend any amount of time alone when I heard a knock on my door.

I frowned.

“ What is it? Why can you not let me be?" I yelled as I opened the door.

I thought that it was Evander who was at the door but it was not him.

“ My apologies, I thought it was Evander that was here," I said.

He walked into my room, he wore a nice shirt and a pair of trousers to fit. He walked to the window side of my room, then he held the curtain and looked out through the window.

“ You have a nice view from here," He said.

“ Thank you, Uncle," I said.

He was someone who would come into my house just because he wanted to torture me with what was right and what was not, what I did wrong, and everything bad that I was doing, he would always find fault in whatever I did.

“ Why do you not stand here so that you can see a better view of the outside world? Maybe you can see a beautiful lady from up here,” he said.

Oh my goodness, he was here because of the ceremony last night. It was going to be a bad ride for me, so I sat on my bed.

“ I stay there often, I have not seen anyone at all,” I said.

" Your father gave you to this Pack, and you have to do the same as well, it is a shame that you have not been connected to any woman, not even that you were rejected or that you rejected the choice of the Moon Goddess, you know it is a shame to this family right?” he turned and looked at me.

He was my father's brother, my uncle. He was Uncle Hardy.

“ I know that, and I am not going to let this family down, I will get my Luna"

“ When will that be?"

“ Soon"

“ You do not understand this, do you? Do you think that this is some child's play or what? The other Alphas are going to mock us, besides, you should know that you need a successor" He turned to face the window.

I rolled my eyes, what silly successor, I have not found my mate and here he was talking about a successor, how is that going to happen when I do not have a mate?

“ I will see that it happens," I said.

“ Have you gone to see your mother?" He asked.

“ I have not gone for a while now "

“ You should go see her"

“ I will" I lied. I was not going to see her soon. I hate to go there, it gave me a lot of reasons to stay single and be the Alpha without a Luna.

“ I will see you again, and this time, be with a woman, the next ceremony will be coming up soon, get someone at the end of that ceremony" He left my room.

I breathe out in relief.

I did not like it whenever Uncle Hardy came to the house, because I knew the way he talked, and it seemed he was in a good mood today, he did not lash me with words like he would have ordinarily done to me.

When I went to get the thing that I needed for my paintings, that was why I saw that the girls were gone, and then the door opened. It was Max.

“ Hey, what's happening?" I asked. He looked tense.

“ Did you see Hardy?" He asked instead.

“ Yes, he was in my room, what happened"

“I saw him leaving, he called me, I thought he had an important thing to say to me, then he asked me to prepare a room here so that he might move into this house," he said.

I felt like throwing him, I was so uncomfortable with his visits to this house and now he wants to live here?

" I rather empty my account to get him a very nice place to stay in than for him to come here and stay,” I said.

" Exactly. I am not ready for any hard time at all"

“ Was he truly being serious or was he trying to be funny when he was not even funny at all?” I frowned.

" He looked serious. You have to stand on your ground, you can not let that happen' he was about to leave when I called him back.

“ About the girls that came today, I know you made that arrangement. But can you not do that again?"

“ I am sorry, I was only trying to help you, not to worry, it will not happen again" he bowed his head to me before leaving.

I went into my painting room to do some retouching to my work. The door opened, it was Evander. He had a jacket on and had some clothes in his hands like he was carrying them somewhere.

“ Why are you holding that, and why are you bringing it here?"

" I came to tell you about something very important, are you aware that Hardy was here?”

Oh my goodness, this man was such a gossip box. He came all the way here to tell me that?

“ Yes, he was in my room," I said.

It made him grin and I could not tell why.
