CHAPTER 18 - WHEN ONE VALUES THEIR SKIN A knock on his door stirred Victor awake and he groaned. The movement had awoken the multitude of aches, his body had contended with since he took to his bed. He felt as if someone had poured liquid lava everywhere on his skin. “ Yes,” he bellowed, mostly to cover the groans which crowded in his throat. The door opened and Liliana entered the room.
