CHAPTER 19 – GRAVE THOUGHTS FOR A CRUISE
Liliana was leaning on the rail, looking in the distance. She didn’t notice the ducks playing in the water or the other sails out on the lake. Deep in her thoughts, she pondered on what she should do.
She didn’t worry about the children. Axel had made them wear life-saving jackets and both children had been pestering him with questions since they set sail. In the beginning, she worried that the man would get sick of all those inquiries, but he didn’t seem to mind.
“ What’s with that gloomy face?” Victor’s words intruded in her musing, and she glanced at him with a shrug.
“ Just thinking,” she replied quietly.
“ About?” he insisted, unwilling to let the subject drop.
