HIDDEN FEELINGS

I am currently in my room, lying on my bed while scrolling through f*******: when my friend Mia sends me a video. I watch the video without knowing that it's about me, specifically about my confession from 2 years ago. "I-I like you, Devon!" "I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way" I angrily tossed the books from my bedside table in frustration after watching the video. They just won't leave me alone. It's been 2 years, and I'm still the main topic of their content. Kainis! "Oh anyari?" I turned my head towards the door of my room upon hearing a voice. It was Kai, my best friend since elementary school. He was leaning against the door, arms crossed, looking at me. I glared. "What are you doing here?" "I'm here to take you out." he simply replied. He came into my room and walked towards me, causing me to subtly turn my face away. "Laki na ng eyebags mo." He said and moved away to pick up the books I had thrown. "Wala akong gana lumabas ngayon." I said. He looked at me. "Nag invite sila Tin, nakakahiya naman kong tatanggihan natin sila." "Pwede namang ikaw lang, ba't pa Ako nasama?" I said in an irritated way. "Of course sasama ka sa ayaw at sa gusto mo. Hello? ilang days kana kayang nagkukulong dito sa kwarto mo. " He said as if he was scolding me. "Pake mo ba!" "Tsk!" He sounds irritating. "Get up, and wash yourself, nangangamoy kana." "I said no, hindi ako sasama!" I slightly yelled at him. "Susunod ka ba o bubuhatin kita dyan at dadalhin sa banyo, ano?" he threatened me, so that's why I immediately got up from lying down, even though I didn't want to. I had to obey this jerk; if it was against my will to do this, it was even more against my will to be carried or touched by someone like him. "Hihintayin kita sa baba." I just nod. "At wag ka masyadong magtagal kung ayaw mong pasukin kita jan sa banyo habang naliligo ka. So it's better if you close the door securely." he winked at me and walked out of my room. His words made me feel nauseous, and you can't help but laugh at his arrogance. I locked the door when Kai left my room to make sure he wouldn't be able to enter. I took my towel and entered the bathroom to shower. I even jumped a bit from the cold when I turned on the shower. It's been a few days since I last bathed. I discovered that my ex-boyfriend, Jas, cheated on me with my own friend, so I ended things with Jas. It's been 2 weeks until now, and only today I did shower again. Just imagine, going without a shower for 2 weeks, Tsss... I must smell really bad. And to top it off, I saw the video that Mia sent me about my failed confession to my crush who is now dating my cousin Avril. With all the things happening in my life, I'd probably just choose to sulk in my room. I can really feel the coldness of the water as I shower. It feels so good, and it's like my spirits lifted and I became more energized. It's really different when you've showered. Aalagaan ko na ulit sarili ko. I finished showering and came out of the bathroom by wearing a bathrobe. I opened my drawer and selected my outfit. I opted for a White Cotton Knitted croptop and Black Trouser. I also picked out the sandals to wear. After a few minutes, I finished getting dressed. I was content with my hair and decided not to apply makeup, just a touch of lip tint to avoid looking pale. I opened the door to exit. As I started to descend the stairs, I noticed Kai talking to my brother downstairs. I made my way down the stairs when they suddenly turned to look at me. "Hey Sky, long time no see." Kuya Steven greeted me with a grin. I just gave him a glare in return. Kai approached me with a furrowed brow. "Tagal mo." "Pake mo ba?" pagsusungit ko. I gave Kuya Steve another annoyed look and walked out of the house. Kai said his goodbyes to my brother and then followed me. I got into Kai's car, not waiting for him to open the door for me, and I didn't sit in the front seat because that's not my seat. "Buckle up." he said when he entered the car. Kai started the engine of his car and began to drive. We were quiet throughout the journey, not speaking a word, until we reached his girlfriend Jill's house. Yes, he has a girlfriend. They've been together for 3 years, no cheating issues, no attempts to break up, and no fights have occurred. Their relationship is that matured, sana all. Unlike sa mga past relationship ko na ang to-toxic grabe. Kai stepped out of the car to open the door for Jill. Gentleman. "Hi, Sky." Jill greeted me with a sweet smile on her face when she entered the car. I just smiled at her back. "Kamusta ka? Balita ko, nag break na kayo ni Jas. Ano ba nangyari?" she opened up about my breakup with my ex-boyfriend who cheated on me. I noticed Kai's grip on her leg and the look he gave her, as if he's asking her to shut up. Jill seemed to understand, so she just closed her mouth and adjusted her seating position. I sighed. "Saan pala tayo pupunta?" "Sa vacation house nila Tin. " Kai's replied. "Sa Tagaytay." Jill said. "What? Ano gagawin natin dun?" I asked them. Jill looked at me as if she was curious. "Wait, hindi ba sinabi sayo ni Kai?" I furrowed my brow at what Jill said. "Bakit?" "Oh gosh babe, ba't hindi mo sinabi?" Jill gently nudged Kai. Kai looked at the rearview mirror where I was also looking. "We're staying there for 3 months." "What!?" I reacted upon hearing the words 3 MONTHS. "Really, Kai!? Di mo man lang ako sinabihan about that. Oh goodness! Staying there for 3 months without bringing my things!?" "Don't worry, hindi ka naman siguro mamamatay kong wala Kang dalang gamit." he said that it irritated me more. Jill explained to me about our stay in Tagaytay with our other friends. It turns out, it wasn't them who planned, but my brother Steve. She also mentioned about my belongings, which will be delivered tomorrow. The reason for the 3-month stay in Tagaytay is that my brother Steve will also be gone for 3 months, as he was asked by our parents to follow them to the US, and he didn't want me to be alone, so he came up with this plan that my friends agreed to. Upon hearing Jill's explanation, I felt guilty for being rude to Kuya Steve earlier. He's really sweet. I smiled and decided to text my brother. "You really came up with this idea para lang di ako mag-isa sa bahay. Aalis ka na hindi ko alam. How sad. :(" I texted him, with a sad expression on my face. typing...... "Tss... Basta kuya Steve, make sure na madadala books ko tomorrow." "Sure." he replied shortly. "Ingat ka sa flight mo tomorrow, send my regards to mom and dad. ILY kuya." Kuya Steve just liked my message and didn't bother to reply. I turned off my phone and leaned against the car window. I stayed silent for the entire trip, listening to the conversations of the two couple in front of me, but occasionally joining in when they asked me something. We have arrived in Tagaytay and are now heading to Tin's vacation house where we will be staying. It took us a few minutes to reach the house. Kai was still confused about which direction to take because there was an option, whether to go left or right. Luckily, someone showed us the way. It's fortunate that Tin's family is well-known here in Tagaytay because if not, we might have been caught in the dark trying to figure out which way to Tin's place. As soon as we arrived, we saw our friends waiting outside waving at us. Tin's house is by the seaside, with no neighbors nearby. The place is beautiful, with fresh air and a clean environment. The house is spacious and lovely, with a wide outdoor area. Jill and I got out of the car, while Kai parked his car. My friends hugged me, while others teased me as soon as I stepped out. "Sky, how are you?" Lizz approached me and asked how I was. "You've lost weight." Zia said in concern. "I know It wasn't easy for you, Sky. We're sorry about that." Tin said. I feel their concern. In the past few days, I haven't been replying to their messages or answering their calls, which is probably why they are this worried. "I'm okay." I smiled at them. I was about to enter when Yves suddenly put his arm around me. He smiled while looking at me, causing my right eyebrow to raise. He leaned in slightly towards my ear and whispered. "Hi sad girl." "Tsk!" I removed Yves' hand from my shoulder and faced him to kick his foot. He instinctively held his foot and winced in pain. I ignored him and just went inside. Tin and our other friends laughed at him, while Kit and Vince teased him. We sat on the sofa to rest. They chatted while I just listened to them. I felt like I was different. I used to be very talkative before, but now I'm not. "So ano na ngayun status niyo ni Kiel?" Jill asked, teasing Lizz, who was clearly blushing and getting flustered. "Pakipot pa yan!" Belle joined in teasing Lizz as well. "Well...he said last night na he has feelings for me but..." Lizz stopped talking, while the rest of us waited to see what would come next after BUT. "...he wants me to wait until we graduate from college because he's not ready for commitment, sa ngayon." She continued. The excitement of Lizz and the other girls faded, prompting me to react. "What!? Bakit ikaw yung maghihintay? Not ready for commitment? that's bullsh*t!" I muttered in frustration. "Porket Ikaw yung una nag confessed, Ikaw na ngayon yung maghihintay kung kailan siya ready, or pwede ring sinabi niya lang yan kasi hindi ka talaga niya gusto." They all fell silent and looked at me. I noticed Yves and Kai smirking which made me glare at the two of them. "Ang lalim naman nun, sky." Vince said, while scratching his nape. "That's okay, sky. Sure naman akong naka move on na si Devon dun sa confession mo." Kit's teased. I noticed Tin kicking Kit's foot, causing Kit to stop laughing and fall silent. Lizz sighed. "Are you really okay Sky?" "I'm not!" I said then walked out. I went upstairs with a frown on my face. "She was truly affected." I heard Zia's said and sighed. I went into the room directly in front of the stairs and lay down straight on the bed. I was venting heavily, nakakahiya. During the time when Devon rejected me, I found out that it was also the time when I learned that he was already in a relationship with my cousin. I was so hurt back then because I overheard Devon and his friends talking, saying that he was just using me to get closer to my cousin. The same thing happened with Jas, the only difference was that Jas and I became a couple, and Jas was even worse than Devon. He courted me just to get closer to my friend, and what hurt more was that even though my friend knew that Jas and I were together, she still went for it. They became a couple while Jas and I were still together.
