Broken and Still Alive

Chapter 2

**Ezekiel's POV**

   "MATE!" My wolf Dilon screams in my head. As my feet carry me to the smell of sweet jasmine. When I stop next to the small lake my eyes land on the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She was small and fragile looking with long raven black hair that laid next to her on the ground and her eyes they are as blue as the sky. She is wearing only a raggedy white cotton gown. "SHE IS HURT, MATE IS HURT HELP HER NOW!" Causing me to jump back to reality. As I move toward her, she backs up against an oak tree. The next moment I am shifting and running to my mate realizing she has passed out. "AHHHHHH!" I hear the blood-curdling scream of my beta Crimson. I turned to see him kneeling on the ground in his human form with blood pooling from his back and shiny white wings springing from his back. What the h*ll is going on here I mind linked my Delta Luca to help Crimson back to the pack hospital. Then mind linked the pack doctor while running with my mate in my arms. She is so light it was like my arms were empty. 

    As the hospital comes in to view, I see Dr. George Garner waiting for us along with a few nurses and a stretcher. " Dr. Garner save her she is your Luna" I ordered as I place her on the stretcher. " Crimson is behind us I don't know what is going on he needs help h-he has wings," I told one of the nurses who went to grab another stretcher and Dr. Charise Joan's. I follow Dr. Garner and watch helplessly as he worked on my mate, I can feel her fading and as I start to panic, I feel my father’s hand on my shoulder he is the former alpha Aiden. "Dad she is my mate and I want the head of the one that hurt her," I told him with all my pain and anger seeping into each word as I spoke them. 

     Now that we are in the light, I can get a better look at her and it is breaking my heart. her body covered in bruises and deep gashes and she is so thin I can see every bone in her body. She is one strong person to still be alive from the sight of her. " I am going to order an x-ray and CBC and cluagaltion test I have a feeling she has a few broken ribs and possibly some internal bleeding you can wait in the waiting room and I will come out and talk to you when we get the test back,"  Dr. Garner said as he turned to the nurse and gave her the orders "I want a rush on everything Addison," he tells the nurse. A few moments later two techs come in to take her to X-ray and the nurse has already taken her blood for the other test. 

    I decided to go check on Crimson while I wait to hear more about my mate. As I walk into the room, I see Crimson laying on the bed unconscious. " Dr. Jonas is he going to be ok can you tell me what happened to him and where the h*ll did those wings come from," I ask not knowing what to think " To be honest Alpha I don't know I have never seen anything like this in all my career his vitals are stable but he seems to be in a coma," she says with a look of uncertainty. I think her and turn and head down the hall to the waiting room as I walk in, I see my dad Former Alpha Aiden, and my mother former Luna Jolivia. Along with them is my Delta Luca. My brother Isaiah with his mate Trinity and my sister Violet and her mate Bolton.

    "Dad" I call as I enter the waiting room 

    "Any news Ezekiel how is she," he asks with so much concern in his voice 

    "I don’t know they have taken her for an X-ray and waiting on the blood work,"  I tell him with many things running through my head. "Dad, Crimson h-he had wings that just sprout out of his back and now the doctor says he is in a coma of some sorts have you ever heard of anything like this," I ask him. He looks at me with a lost look in his eyes and just says "No son I have never seen or heard of anything like this" 

"Alpha can we please speak in private" Dr. Gardner interrupts. I follow in behind him out to the hallway 

" What is it is she ok is she going to make it," I ask scared to death I am going to hear the worst news ever 

" she is stable for now, but she is critical. She has three broken ribs a fractured cheekbone and a ruptured spleen. Someone really beat the h*ll out of her and this was not from tonight she has many old injuries and as you saw she is covered in bruises some as old as two weeks. If I had to say she has been abused and starved over a very long period of time possible since infancy" as he speaks I feel my legs weakening and I fall back onto the wall to steady myself. My father must have sensed my distress and came running to stand by my side 

"W-what is your treatment plan," I ask with a shaky voice 

" Right now she is on her way to emergency surgery we are hoping to repair the spleen if not we will have to remove it now if she was a healthy werewolf I would not be concerned with removing it but as malnourished as she is I doubt she has ever shifted which leaves her a fragile as a human so comes the risk of her going septic and not being able to fight off infection and she may require a blood transfusion. It would be nice if we knew where she came from and if she has any family but being we don't we need to find a match." with this new information Dr. Gardner gives, we pulled our-self together and mind-link the pack.

"Wild Hearts Pack this is your Alpha speaking I am pleased to inform you I have found our Luna my mate but unfortunately our Luna has been severely abused and is in need of your help Dr. Gardner says she made need a blood transfusion and we need to find a match asap those of you that is able to please make your way to the hospital to be tested and donate thank you and may moon goddess bless you all "
