Chapter 12
Vince, who is wondering about getting a warrant and fussing about the landlord wanting his property returned from his tenants, reminds me of past tenants Mr and Mrs Boron. They pop into my head on a regular basis, although it is many years since I encountered them. I have mentioned the Boron Effect, so here’s the story.
I met the Borons when I worked in one of the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne. A landlord asked me to issue them with a notice to vacate. Mr and Mrs Boron must have been in their late 70s or early 80s at the time. They had been renting the property for about fifteen years. Long enough for them to think the house was theirs and they could live there forever. Mr Boron especially had burdened himself with this thinking.
