I'm not sure why I agreed to this when it terrifies me so much. After last night's talk with Maddix, I felt uneasy, but I didn't want to leave my cousin without her mate if he was forced against his will.
I felt confident that mom would completely make sure things were as he said. She's the best lie detector I've ever met. She can tell someone's character with just a touch, and her judgments were usually right.
I think I can count on one hand how many times she has been wrong, so I will trust what she says. After Maddix left for the night, I talked to mom a little bit about his request.
I wanted to know if she thought he was doing it for selfish reasons, or if he was being legit in just wanting to help Regina.
