*River POV*
Finally, we were going to get my boys. I helped Christy clear our table, and Caleb made sure to leave her and Hazel a nice hefty tip as we followed Maddix out the door.
"Don't you be a stranger River, you need to visit more," Hazel yelled as we exited. I told her I promised to try, but in truth, it would probably be awhile now that Maddix wouldn't be there.
I loved my cousins, but I am such a homebody that unless it's a family affair or business situation, I don't leave my pack.
I heard Maddix talking to Henry and letting him know we were on our way, and I noticed Maddix's demeanor had changed slightly.
