Bittersweet. That's what all of this is. The bitter part is leaving my sisters and Gunner. The sweet, is starting my life fresh.
Portland airport was about 3 hours from Blood Hollow, and I gave myself enough time to be able to make stops for gas and Ava. I would still end up a little early, but I would rather be early than leave Caleb's sister waiting at the airport.
I was hoping she wasn't a shy girl, because it would make the two-hour ride to the academy a long one. I called Caleb to let him know I was on my way, and to have him remind her of what I was driving.
He let me know her flight was a little ahead of schedule, but she had luggage to claim. That would cause her to take a little longer, so it all worked out in the end.
