I have been so worried that our pack would feel as if we were abandoning them that I couldn't really enjoy our new-found status. Not that we asked for this, but it's one of the most important things that Alette and I could ever do for our children.
After the ceremony, Alette and I mingled and spoke with the pack. Most were fine with the change and commended us for stepping up for our daughter. However, there were a few of the older pack members who weren't happy with yet another change.
As we were in the greeting line with Trinity and Stephen, we kept overhearing the same thing. "How can a werewolf be named a king or queen of a Fae Kingdom colony?"
