The Golden Cage and The Thorn!!🎭
The grand gates of Royal Elite College looked more like the entrance to a golden cage than an educational institution. Built with white marble and surrounded by lush green lawns, it was a playground for the ultra-rich. Here, money spoke louder than talent, and power dictated the rules. Ellisa stood near the central fountain, her fingers trembling as she clutched the straps of her faded backpack. She wore a simple, light-blue cotton dress that had been washed so many times the edges were fraying. She didn't own designer clothes, luxury handbags, or expensive jewelry like the other girls. Her father was a mere clerk, and she was here on a hard-earned, hundred-percent academic scholarship. Yet, as she stood under the bright morning sun, it was impossible to look away from her.Ellisa was breathtakingly beautiful—the kind of beauty that made time stand still. Her skin had the flawless, milky glow of a porcelain doll, untouched by heavy makeup. Her eyes, large and deep like pools of liquid amber, were framed by long, naturally curled eyelashes. Her dark, silky hair cascaded down her waist in soft waves, catching the golden sunlight, . Even in her cheapest attire, she looked like an innocent goddess who had accidentally wandered into a world of corrupt royals. And that was her biggest crime. In a place like Royal Elite College, being poor, helpless, and exceptionally beautiful made you an instant target."Well, well, well. Look what the wind blew into our campus today," a sharp, mocking voice pierced the air.Ellisa stiffened. A crowd began to form, whispering and snickering as a tall, muscular figure stepped forward. It was David,,, .David was the undisputed king of the campus. The son of a multi-billionaire senator, he possessed a sharp jawline, messy dark hair, and piercing grey eyes that were completely devoid of empathy. He was devastatingly handsome, but his arrogance was lethal. He ruled the college with an iron fist, and no one dared to cross his path. Behind him stood a group of wealthy students, laughing like hyenas, ready for their daily entertainment. ."A scholarship rat," David sneered, walking around Ellisa like a predator inspecting its prey. He stopped right in front of her, his towering height completely shadowing her small frame. "Tell me, sweetheart, how much did your father have to beg to get you admission here? Or did you just use that pretty face of yours?"Tears instantly welled up in Ellisa’s amber eyes. "Please... let me go to my class," she whispered, her voice trembling like a leaf. ."Let you go?" David chuckled darkly. His grey eyes flashed with cruel amusement. "Newbies don't get a free pass, especially not the ones who look like they belong in a charity home. You need to learn your place." Before Ellisa could react, David snatched her faded backpack. With a mocking smirk, he unzipped it and dumped everything onto the muddy ground. Her old notebooks, cheap pens, and a neatly packed, simple lunchbox scattered everywhere. The crowd burst into roaring laughter. ."Look at that lunch! Do they eat grass at your house?" one of David's friends yelled. ."Oh, look, she's going to cry!" a girl mocked. ....David stepped forward, his expensive leather shoe coming down right on top of Ellisa’s handwritten lecture notes, grinding the paper into the wet mud. He leaned down, his breath brushing against her ear, whispering coldly, "Welcome to hell, princess. Don't ever look me in the eye again." With a final, arrogant laugh, David turned and walked away, his entourage following closely behind. The crowd slowly dispersed, leaving Ellisa alone, humiliated, and broken..(to be continued)
