I already knew the answer in my head, but hearing Chad talk about it made me fall silent.
In my case, I was fortunate that my feelings for Malrick had not deepened more than this or I wouldn’t know what to do. At the end of the day, we might not be able to continue being friends and that was the thing that bothered me the most.
But, for the sake of us both, I need to do what needs to be done. It was necessary before my feelings for Malrick started getting out of hand.
And to do that, I need a distraction, and Chad was the best choice.
It felt wrong using Chad to get over my developing feelings, but I didn’t really feel guilty since I was also giving him a chance to court me in the process.
Chad was a nice man and I’m willing to get to know him.
