I stared at Malrick and resisted the pressing urge to laugh seeing how frustrated he looked. I finally realized that it’s true when people tell you that winning over your partner’s family is the best way to win over his heart.
Malrick stared at me for a few seconds before he let out a resigned sigh.
“Let’s go.” He finally said and I almost pumped my fist in the air in excitement.

Malrick walked out of the office and I turned to Aunt Celine who gave me a discreet wink before adjusting her expression and pretending to be serious as Malrick suddenly turned around.
