There was silence for a few seconds as Malrick stared at me quietly.
“Why?” He simply asked.
I was about to speak when he added, “Is it because of what happened last night?”
Hearing him say that, I pressed my lips together and fell silent.
Of course I wouldn’t admit that it was part of the reason. To be honest, it made up seventy percent of the reason. Living together with Malrick, things like that might occur again and I wanted to avoid it.
