She gave a noncommittal glance at me and said, “What? Mr. Colin should understand what I’m trying to say, right?”
I gritted my teeth, knowing very well that Edna was doing it intentionally. But I forced myself not to create a scene here and calmed down, swallowing my frustration.
Edna merely stood there, she did not even flinch.
I don’t understand. How could somebody change in just a span of how many days? The Edna I knew was very submissive and timid.
Before, in the face of my anger, she would have cowered and began apologizing, doing everything to make me look at her.
But now, she just sat there calmly, a look of disdain flashing through her eyes. And I had to admit, this Edna was even more attractive, it made me realize that I’ve been missing something out all this while.
