The responsibility of an Alpha is to protect his pack from enemy attacks. The population is one of Sapphire Pack's most serious issues. There are seven packs of werewolves in this world, and Sapphire Packs include packs with a small population. The Emerald and Garnet Packs have the most members.
Over the past few years, Viltarin had secretly ordered a special team of warriors into the Emerald Pack and Garnet Pack. They kidnap and invite the werewolves from the two packs to join. They don't take much because it's not easy to persuade someone even though they give benefits and promise a lot.
Despite knowing that he often took their pack members, the Emerald Pack and Garnet Pack didn't do anything; they only threatened him. Viltarin and his wolf are always ready to counter their attacks. They have considered the battlefield as a place of fun to play.
Unexpectedly, Alpha Draven from the Garnet Pack, who had only been an Alpha for less than a month and was once a human, came to meet Viltarin. Alpha Draven was talking about him taking his pack members. Alpha Draven asked him to stop doing it, and he put forward a condition which was to fight. He wanted to know the strength of Alpha, who used to be a human.
Viltarin's wolf loses. Their self-esteem is tarnished. According to the agreement, Viltarin will not take werewolves from the Garnet Pack again. Even Alpha Draven gave suggestions for increasing the population.
Viltarin put down the file he had read. He leaned back and interlocked his ten fingers. "It's been a week since Alpha Draven came, and I haven't put his suggestion into action yet. That is a great suggestion, and it looks like it will work. But we are tight on budget."
Osias sat in front of Viltarin, who was stroking his chin. Osias is helping separate read and unread files. He studied Alpha's confused-looking face. Does Alpha need his advice?
"I've spoken to the finance minister, and he complained about the budget. The minister of population records that many pack members don't have children. Their reason is that they don't want or are not ready to have children." Viltarin glanced at Osias, who was looking at him straight. "What should I do?"
Osias stopped tidying up files. "If we take Alpha Draven's advice and find that all the pack members are interested in having children, we need a budget of at least hundreds of billions. Because of the frequent wars over the last two months, the pack's income has been reduced." As Viltarin gave him a death stare, Osias averted his gaze. Alpha would get furious if he brought up the topic of them fighting over the vacant land with the Topaz Pack.
"We're implementing a policy in which giving birth is free, and we give money to their children for five months. I'm confident this program will succeed, but we must consider the pack's financial situation." Viltarin rests his chin in the palm of his right hand.
"I'm sure we can do it." Osias nodded his head; he believed his words. "Alpha Draven has warned us; he came without his warriors. We don't know when Alpha Viggo will come here because his patience has run out. Alpha Viggo is friends with Alpha Kenric; they are allies."
"Have you forgotten? This year Alpha Viggo has never helped Alpha Kenric attack other packs or clans. I think their relationship has soured. Alpha Viggo has also never helped Alpha Kenric fight over vacant land." Viltarin looked out the window. Beautiful blue sky and birds flying happily.
"Alpha Eugene is also suspicious of Alpha Kenric and Alpha Viggo's relationship. But they still manage their company." Osias frowned. He read the incoming message from the chief warrior. He sighed. "I have some information. Last night the warrior from the Topaz Pack was secretly doing some suspicious activity in the vacant land."
The Sapphire Pack's main enemy is the Topaz Pack. They fight over the empty land that was once the territory of the Aquamarine Pack. They will not stop fighting until one of them loses or succumbs.
"He always pisses us off," Viltarin growled, and his jaw clenched. "I want to catch the spy as soon as possible. I'm sure he sent spies to monitor us. He always springs into action when we let our guard down."
"Alpha Kenric spread his warriors all over the world. He knows all the information to ease his movements. He always knows what he has to do. He's cunning." Osias shook his head. Alpha and Alpha Kenric's equation loves fighting, but Alpha is fighting for a reason. In contrast to Alpha Kenric, who almost thinks all packs and clans are his enemies. At the head of Alpha Kenric and his wolf, there is only fighting on the battlefield.
Osias knew what had caused Alpha not to act rashly and solve the problem without fighting because their warriors were few. Alpha Kenric was the only one he considered an enemy.
"He better set up a spy organization." Viltarin satirized Kenric for doing various ways to achieve his ambition.
Osias laughed. "He's good at training his warriors as spies. We should learn from him, Alpha."
Viltarin tilted his lips. "I don't want to see him show his arrogant face." Osias laughed.
They fell silent and went back to their work. Osias glanced at the ring on his hand. He missed his mate. He smiled mysteriously and approached Alpha, who was seriously typing on the laptop.
"If my mate comes back, I want to go on vacation with her." Osias watched Viltarin's reaction.
"I allow you," said Viltarin.
Osias scratched his forehead. As he expected, Alpha's reaction must have been like that. He wanted to see Alpha's envious face when he said he planned to go on vacation with his mate. "You don't want to go with us?"
Viltarin raised his head and raised his eyebrows. "You want me to bother you two?"
"Have you forgotten that you have found your mate?" Osias gave Viltarin a suspicious look.
"Of course not. I'm not going to do it. I need time." Vitarin shook his head. Then he pondered. Vacationing with that friend sounds like a lot of fun. But he wasn't ready.
"I wish we could vacation with our mate, Alpha." Osias expressed his wish.
"One day," Viltarin muttered. Even though he wasn't ready right now, he was sure that one day he and Kalliste would be like any other couple. They are together and love each other.
'You want something beautiful, Rin. But you don't try to approach her. You will not be able to achieve your wish.' Ryu reprimands Viltarin for not daring to approach Kalliste.
'I know, Ryu.' Vitarin sighed. He was annoyed with himself for not wanting to escape this fear that was torturing him.
***
Even though he has a lot of files to read and work to handle, Kenric is always looking for time to have fun with women. He wanted to refresh his mind. He will finish all the work after he is satisfied.
Kenric likes to sit surrounded by sexy and beautiful women. Now he is in a nightclub. Next to him were two women who were always willing to accompany him into the night.
Kenric ignored Navarro, whose eyes locked on him. His beta always follows him wherever he goes. Navarro doesn't let him have fun alone and ensures he only goes out to nightclubs.
'I hate you, Kenric.' Kenric's wolf, Jim, repeated words. He disagrees with Kenric's decision to order Kalliste to work at Viltarin's house. Kalliste was their mate, and they shouldn't be apart.
'Didn't I say that I don't care and I don't need your feedback? This is all for the sake of the pack. She sacrificed for the pack.' Kenric stroked the cheek of the woman sitting next to him.
'But Kalliste didn't do it for the pack. She did it to get love from you. You promised you would love her if you managed to destroy the Sapphire Pack.' Jim reminds Kenric, who always forgets about his promises.
Kenric tilted his lips. 'Aren't you tired of reminding me of that?'
'I know you're lying. You gave Kalliste false promises. I pity her for having a mate like you. She sincerely loves you, and you never see it. You should have rejected her. You are torturing yourselves.' Unlike Kenric, Jim considers Kalliste to be their mate.
'I don't feel tormented.' Kenric took a sip of his drink.
'You haven't felt it yet, and I'm sure you will soon.'
Kenric chuckled. The two women sitting next to him looked at him in surprise. 'You really hope I feel it? You are my wolf. I suffer, and you too.'
'I am your wolf. We love fighting, and I'm glad you made all the clans your enemies, but on this issue, I disagree with you. It's better that you reject Kalliste from the start.' Jim sighed sharply. He never found a good side in Kenric.
'I don't want to argue with you about it.' Kenric kissed the woman sitting to his left.
Navarro, who accompanied Alpha, could only sigh heavily and choose to play on his cell phone. Of course, he knew about Alpha having found his mate and his mate was ordered to work in the enemy's house. He didn't understand what Alpha was thinking.
Kenric kissed the woman who had given him a passionate kiss. He suddenly remembered Kalliste, who had told him the night before that she worked as Viltarin's personal chef. He had no idea Kalliste could be helpful to him.
