15. Can't Stop

The fox clan's demon lord, King Griffin, was the easiest person to do business with. But he was closest to Luna Charis from the Garnet Pack, and Alpha Draven and Beta Oryn had come to introduce themselves a few days ago. The Griffin King backed Alpha Draven and Luna Charis.

However, it is not easy for Viltarin to win King Griffin's heart. He'd already come here twice, and King Griffin didn't seem to like him, and Viltarin was ignored several times as if King Griffin had forgotten Viltarin was sitting next to him.

Viltarin was a patient man, but this time he was running out of patience. To get rid of his annoyance and anger, he drinks vodka and enjoys music from Osias' cell phone. He doesn't drink in clubs; he drinks in the room that was in the kingdom.

Osias accompanied Alpha; he made sure Alpha didn't drink more than three bottles. He glanced at the two empty bottles. Alpha won't get drunk if he only drinks two bottles. Osias didn't want to drink too much. He had to look after Alpha and Luna.

Annoyed, Viltarin put the empty crystal glass on the table. He shook his slightly dizzy head. "Why won't he accept my offer of cooperation? Isn't our restaurant famous and proven successful? He accepted the Garnet Pack only because he bought pork from Garnet Pack and Garnet Pack bought alcohol and chicken from him. Aren't we the more profitable for him?"

Osias nodded his head. Alpha will say everything that is in his heart and mind when he is on the verge of drunkenness or when drunk. "I also don't understand why it's so hard for King Griffin to decide to accept our cooperation."

"If it weren't for the fox demon clan being the most visited clan, I wouldn't want to come here twice. I'm like a beggar begging him. Did he forget that I'm an Alpha? Is it because of our small population?" Viltarin poured the vodka into a crystal glass and downed it.

Osias inhaled deeply. He rarely saw Alpha, who was frustrated and complaining. A lot of things had been bothering Alpha recently, and when Alpha was half drunk was the best time for him to listen to Alpha's feelings.

"I have one possibility, but I doubt it a bit. I think King Griffin is concerned about us having frequent wars with the Topaz Pack. Maybe he's afraid it might affect business." Osias said carefully. He was afraid that Alpha's temper was running high. Because Alpha doesn't like it when he talks about war. Alpha frequently accuses him of being coerced into agreeing to go to war with the Topaz Pack over the vacant land.

Viltarin puts his elbow on the table and rests his chin in the palm of his right hand. He made eye contact with Osias, who was sitting in front of him. He thought of what Osias said might be true, but he would never let the vacant land belong to Kenric. "I see; the fox demon clan is a clan that always avoids war."

"You shouldn't forget Alpha Kenric, who came with a troop of warriors to the Garnet Pack just because the Garnet Pack was on good terms with the Lycan clan." Osias sipped his drink. Alpha Kenric always had a way of waging war.

Viltarin chuckled and pointed at Osias. "You mean the Griffin king is afraid that Alpha Kenric will come here if he cooperates with us?"

"Maybe. Alpha Kenric doesn't accept the Garnet Pack's decision to cooperate with the Lycan clan because he hates the Lycan clan."

"And he hates the Sapphire Pack because of me." Viltarin nodded his head, and his hand shook the crystal glass. "It seems Kenric has never attacked the fox demon clan."

"No, he never did." Osias shook his head. "Maybe that's why King Griffin hesitated to accept us."

Viltarin sighed. "Alpha Kenric will go to any lengths to get what he wants and eliminate anyone who goes against him."

"That's right, Alpha. The whole world knows about the Garnet Pack that Alpha Kenric attacked simply because they teamed up with the Lycan clan. All the packs, including us, chose not to do the same to avoid Alpha Kenric."

"Damn, Kenric." Viltarin growled and gripped the glass tightly. "I'm annoyed that he was able to intimidate me in that matter. If I had that many warriors, I wouldn't care about his threats. However, when it comes to wars for vacant land, we always end up in a draw ."

Osias read all the messages on his cell phone. Gamma and the chief warrior reported the condition of the pack. "We can balance it out on the battlefield."

"Actually, we can work together with the Lycan clan without thinking about Kenric's threat, but I only think about the pack members." Viltarin opened another bottle. In total, he drank three bottles of vodka.

"Don't get carried away by ambition, Alpha. We must always think about the members of the pack." Osias knows Alpha more than anyone. Without needing him to remind him, Alpha wouldn't do anything to harm a pack member.

This was Kaliste's first time living in the palace. The rooms in the palace were as luxurious as she had imagined, and the facilities were complete. The mattress is soft and comfortable. Kalliste refused to get out of bed.

She had just finished cooking dinner for Viltarin. She would never forget the exquisitely beautiful palace kitchen. She was overjoyed to sense cooking in the palace kitchen. She can also taste the fox demon clan's special food.

"Turns out working as Alpha Viltarin's personal chef wasn't so bad. Even though I had to split up and couldn't see Alpha Kenric." Kalliste pouted and her face turned sad. Then she remembered Alpha Kenric's promise that he would love her. She really trusts Kenric.

'Do you want to experience living in a palace, Irena?' Kalliste teases her wolf.

'I'm lazy to switch bodies with you. I want to do it when I meet the wolf Viltarin.' Irena always said that.

'Your wish is difficult to achieve. Not only because I can't forget Alpha Kenric, but also because Alpha Viltarin keeps his distance from me, just like he keeps his distance from women.' Kalliste doesn't want only her to be blamed.

'I know, but if you accept Alpha Viltarin and forget about Kenric, maybe our relationship and Viltarin aren't complicated.'

'Oh come on, Irena. I can't fight for my love alone. You can see and judge, Alpha Viltarin isn't trying to get close to me.' Kalliste complained. She tilted her body the other way and rested her head on her bent hand.

Irena burst out laughing. 'Oh, my gosh.' She tried to stop laughing. Kalliste is hilarious. 'Did you forget? Didn't you work for Viltarin because you wanted Kenric's love? Haven't you been the only one fighting for your love for Kenric?'

Kalliste fell silent. She could not refute Irena's words. Her heart seemed to be pricked by thousands of needles. She turned out to be a pitiful woman.

'You can do it for Kenric. So you can do it for Viltarin too.' Irena wanted to aware Kalliste even though she wasn't sure.

'Don't force me to do it.' Kalliste reread the message from Kenric. After she reported about Viltarin going to the fox demon clan, Kenric asked her to report all about Viltarin. Kalliste is glad that Kenric has forgiven her and Kenric asks her not to repeat it.

The smile on Kalliste's face returned. She was dizzy hearing Irena who always asked her to love Viltarin and erase Kenric from her head. Kalliste couldn't do it. Kenric was ingrained in her heart.

Irena clicks her tongue. Kalliste ignored her again. However, Irena would not give up on provoking Kalliste. She believed Kenric would not keep his word. Kenric was just taking advantage of Kalliste's stupidity.

"I want to take a walk." Kalliste came out of the room. Her room is between the Alpha and Beta rooms. It's like she has body guards willing to risk their lives to protect her. Oh, of course, she couldn't forget that she was Viltarin's mate.

Kalliste glanced at Viltarin's room where the door was slightly ajar. She looked around. Deserted, no one. Warriors who went with them slept with the royal bodyguards. Kalliste was surprised when Osias appeared from behind the door. "I didn't mean to enter." She didn't want Osias to misunderstand her.

Osias chuckled. "I know, Luna. You couldn't just walk in without a reason." He looked at the room, he had already shifted Alpha who had passed out from drunkenness onto the bed. "Alpha is a little drunk. I hope Alpha's condition gets better tomorrow."

Kalliste looked at the door that Osias slowly closed. "Is it going well?"

Osias sighed. "No. But we will not give up." He looked at Luna and around him quiet surroundings. "It's getting late. It's best if Luna stays in the room. If there's anything you need, you can contact me."

Kalliste smiled sincerely. "Thank you, Beta." Not wanting to bother Alpha and Beta, Kalliste returned to the room. She was also afraid of getting lost in this magnificent palace. She lay back on the bed and thought what to do to kill her boredom. She didn't feel sleepy yet.
