"Wait a moment." Kalliste let go of her hand Kenno was holding. Then she turned and looked at Viltarin. Kalliste had first to ask Viltarin for an explanation. "Why should I buy a dress? Where are we going?"
Viltarin c****d his head. When they first met, Kalliste seemed afraid of him and refused to look him in the eyes. But Kalliste grew bold on him after volunteering to make coffee for him and massage his shoulders. She protested and demanded answers, just like this time.
"We're going to Alpha Eugene's younger sister's wedding party," Viltarin answered in a lazy tone.
"Do we go to the Obsidian Pack?" Kalliste was surprised. Villarin just nodded his head. She was attacked by nervousness and panic. "Are all the Alphas and Betas coming there?"
Viltarin frowned. Why did Kalliste ask like that? Ah, he knows the cause. "I don't think so. Don't worry, and quickly find a dress that fits you."
Kalliste pouted. She doesn't want to wear dresses and wear make-up. She does not like it. Kalliste leaned closer to Viltarin, and Viltarin glared sharply. "I don't want to." Kalliste shook her head. "I'm your personal chef. Why should I wear a dress? They'll get suspicious. Let me wear normal clothes." She spoke quietly.
Viltarin raised his eyebrows. "Did you forget about our relationship?"
"There's no way I'd forget." Kalliste shook her head and wiggled her finger. "It's weird if I wear a dress. Moreover, the dresses in this boutique must be expensive. I'm just your personal chef."
Viltarin ponders. The words of Kalliste were true. But the moment Kalliste said herself as his personal chef, his heart felt like it was being ripped out. Kalliste was his friend, but he couldn't say it out loud. This sense of foreboding gripped him easily. This feeling of dread gripped him tightly. Right now, it seemed he was more afraid of feeling disappointed than feeling lost.
"Is it wrong to wear a beautiful dress? Wear a nice dress to honor yourself. You will accompany me. Everyone will be watching us." Viltarin cast a glance at Kenno, who was awaiting Kalliste.
Kalliste was stunned. Viltarin's words were true. At least the reason she wore such a beautiful and expensive dress was to respect Viltarin as her boss and to maintain Viltarin's image as a good Alpha, and to think of her subordinates.
"Okay." Kalliste gave up. She followed Kenno, who led her to the locker room. She's nervous. Her heart pounded like it was going to explode. It was her first time visiting a boutique and wearing an expensive dress. She seemed to be dreaming.
Kenno brought some dresses that he thought fit Kalliste. Two employees assisted Kalliste in getting into the dress; she let them do it because she was afraid of damaging the expensive gown. She is not sure how long it will take her to buy the dress with her salary.
Viltarin sat down and fiddled with his phone. He glanced at the other diners who were whispering about him. Have they forgotten that one of the abilities of a werewolf is having a keen hearing?
Fox demon women are notorious for flirting and easily make men seduce or fall in their arms. Viltarin will never be tempted. He would only give his heart to his mate.
"How about it, Alpha?" Kenno smoothed Kalliste's long, amber hair. He increasingly wants to offer Kalliste a job as a model, but Viltarin is unlikely to allow it.
Kalliste dropped her eyes to the floor. She was nervous and shy. She didn't want to see Viltarin. She is not confident.
Viltarin raised his head. He was stunned. His eyes could not leave Kalliste, who was standing in front of him. The dress is gorgeous and fits Kalliste's body. Then he got up to grab Kalliste's chin, and they made eye contact. Viltarin scanned Kalliste up and down.
"Isn't she pretty, Alpha?" Kenno couldn't have guessed wrong. The woman who is with Alpha Viltarin is more than just a personal chef. They must have a special relationship. Moreover, Viltarin has not announced that he has found his mate.
Viltarin nodded his head. "Yes. The dress suits her." Viltarin's jade green eyes met Kalliste's gray eyes. They stared at each other for three seconds before they broke eye contact. Viltarin took a step back. He noticed something strange about him. He had never observed or judged a woman's appearance. He never cared about women.
The intense gaze of Viltarin seemed to burn Kalliste's body. Never before had a man looked at her the way Viltarin did? Even though she didn't understand Viltarin's gaze. She was dressed in a short, sleeveless red gown. Is she really the right fit?
"Do you like it?" Viltarin asked. He felt his heart pounding. He didn't know what was causing his heart to pound. He always failed to understand himself whenever he was with Kalliste.
"I like it. This dress is beautiful, but I'm embarrassed." Kalliste never wears short dresses, but this one wasn't too short. He remembered Kenric saying that her body shape was not a body goal, unlike the women he knew.
"You have to be confident," Viltarin emphasized his words. Kalliste was stunned to hear that. Then Viltarin chatted with Kenno.
After buying a dress, they went to a salon that was in a witch clan. The salon owner is an acquaintance of Viltarin. Kalliste needs make-up so that her face is not pale.
Actually, Kalliste doesn't want to be make-up. Her face and lips will feel stiff, and she will be uncomfortable. She is also afraid that when she eats or drinks, the lipstick that adorns her lips will fade. She asked for light make-up. Irena, her wolf, laughed at her, unable to contain her nervousness and complimented her beauty.
Viltarin waited for Kalliste while reading the available magazines. His eyes widened in shock and awe. Kalliste looked prettier. The make-up and dress she wore matched Kalliste. He just realized that Kalliste had a pretty face and an ideal body posture. During these few years, he had never cared about women. But now, suddenly and miraculously, Kalliste made him destroy one of the defensive walls he had always guarded. Is it because Kalliste is his mate?
'Our mate is beautiful, Rin. You don't have to be ashamed to admit it.' Ryu, Viltarin's wolf, seduces Viltarin, who just realized Kalliste's beauty. Viltarin ignores his wolf, who likes to taunt him.
"Her make-up isn't too heavy. Because she is stunning even without makeup." The witch who did Kalliste's make-up complimented her. Kalliste blushed fiercely. "Isn't she lovely, Alpha? You two are an excellent couple."
Viltarin and Kalliste simultaneously glared at the witch. They were worried that someone would hear that. The purple-haired witch laughed and apologized for saying something unnecessary.
Kalliste looked at Viltarin, who averted his face. Does she look weird? Viltarin avoided eye contact with her. "Is the make-up too thick, or does the color not suit me?"
"No. Everything suits you." Viltarin glanced at the watch on his wrist. He couldn't look at Kalliste without ignoring his pounding heart. Today Kalliste gave him too many surprises. "Let's go."

Alpha Eugene's younger sister's wedding party was held simply. The event was held at a hotel near Alpha Eugene's house. Guests come from various clans. The only one who is an Alpha is Villarin. Predictable if Alpha Eugene is not close to other Alphas.
Kalliste sits between Alpha and Beta. She was worried that someone would suspect her. She only works as Viltarin's personal chef, but Alpha and Beta treat her like she is someone precious and special. Kalliste was happy that they were kind to her and cared about her. She doesn't feel awkward in crowds.
Viltarin conversed with those who approached him. He was watching Alpha Eugene, who was conversing with the guests. He glanced at Kalliste, who lowered her head and stared at her hands. "Are you uncomfortable?"
Kalliste was surprised. She turned to Viltarin. "Because I don't know anyone, and it's my first time here, so I feel uncomfortable."
"I'm sorry I didn't say from the start if we were going to a wedding party." Viltarin took a sip of his wine. He always made Kalliste uncomfortable. What should he do?
"No need to apologize, Alpha. I'm happy to go with you. Thanks for the dress." Kalliste said embarrassedly. Her cheeks were as red as a tomato. When in the Topaz Pack, especially when working at Kenric's house, she never goes anywhere. Now she can see the outside world.
Viltarin was at a loss for words. Should he praise Kalliste? He couldn't do it. He embarrassed.
Osias secretly listened to Alpha and Luna's conversation. He smiled happily that Alpha had opened up a bit with Luna now. Hopefully, their relationship will get closer, and Alpha can escape the shackles of the past that bound him.
"Alpha Viltarin, Beta Osias." Alpha Eugene approached them. They shook hands and half-hugged each other. Eugene looked at Kalliste, who smiled politely at him. "Who is she? Is she your mate?" He nudged Viltarin's hand.
"She is my personal chef." It wasn't easy for Viltarin to tell the truth. Hopefully, Kalliste doesn't feel sad.
Eugene rounded up his lips, and he returned Kalliste's smile. "She's so beautiful. Too bad she's not your mate."
Viltarin forced his lips into a smile, and he didn't want to see Kalliste's reaction.
Osias slowly shook his head. When will Alpha tell the truth?
Kalliste lowered her head. She always felt deja vu. Kenric would not accept her and walked away from her. Meanwhile, Viltarin recognizes her as his mate, but Viltarin hasn't announced it yet. Irena's voice echoed in Kalliste's head; at least Viltarin accepted them.
