Beginning of freedom
In a special hospital, the outskirts of Jakarta.
A tall strong wall covered the sprawling hospital with thick concrete so that those outside could enter but those inside could not get out.
However, very few patients who enter this hospital can be taken out, and most patients will stay in this hospital for the rest of their lives until they die.
Because this hospital was a psychiatric sanitarium, the surrounding walls were built higher than the prison walls, and the security facilities to prevent patients from escaping were comparable to a prison.
Every mentally ill patient who enters this hospital will not have a chance to escape unless a family member is willing to take her back.
This special hospital has existed in the city of Jakarta for many years, countless patients have entered this hospital, and what they are waiting for is the long wait for freedom.
Kirana Isabel has lived in this hospital for five years, and she feels numb seeing the atmosphere of this hospital. But she always knew she would make it out of the hospital, it was only a matter of time before she did.
Maybe it was God's grace for her, Kirana lived in the hospital obediently for five years, she didn't cry or make a fuss, cooperated with the nurses when she was about to be injected or take medicine.
Finally this day came, five years later, she was told that she was mentally recovered and she could leave this hospital.
One warm summer afternoon, the warm sun was shining, and the golden rays of the sun shone on Kirana's thin back.
She stood in front of the hospital's heavy iron gate, waiting for the iron gate that had imprisoned her freedom for five years to slowly open.
The iron gate pulleys clanging against the ground let out a piercing sound like thunder, the sound piercing through the stillness of the afternoon.
A pair of legs wearing canvas shoes came out of the gate and along the ankles were slender, straight legs clad in white washed jeans.
The jeans are a bit old school, and the right side of the jeans is embroidered with rows of bright embroidery from the knee to the pocket.
This beautiful hand embroidery is perhaps the most treasured part of these pants.
At the top, Kirana's ideal waist was covered by a simple white sweater, the color pure like her beautiful face.
The cold wind whipped her weak body and ruffled her beautiful hair, her delicate and beautiful face hidden by her hair.
But the pale skin of her face showed that she was still recovering from her illness, but one could faintly see the expression on her face that showed indifference to the pain she was experiencing.
Outside the hospital gates.
A white car parked only ten meters from Kirana.
The owner of the car leaned against the car door as if she couldn't wait for Kirana, she stretched out her hand and pressed the car horn twice.
Kirana heard the impatient car owner's horn and walked closer, her steps a little fast.
The distance of ten meters was reached in the blink of an eye, Kirana spread her arms and tightly hugged the owner of the car.
"Hey pretty girl, I'm finally out."
Vivian frowned with displeased eyebrows, and tugged Kirana's back collar to distance herself "Don't talk to me in that tone, I don't like it."
Kirana nodded obediently and smiled "Oh yes, my lovely and kind lawyer, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to pick me up. Your kindness will never be forgotten in my next life."
When Vivian heard this, she felt comfortable with Kirana's flattery so she motioned to Kirana "Get in the car, even though you have been staying in this hospital for a long time, your brain is still clear enough to know who is your savior."
Kirana without further ado got into the car, and fastened her seat belt.
Vivian who had started the car suddenly threw a yellow file at her.
"Your phone, wallet, passport, ID card and driver's license are all ready for you."
Vivian is a lawyer and is always conscientious about her duties. Before Kirana left the hospital, she had helped Kirana get these documents.
"Did you also bring the pendant I wanted to take with you?" Kirana opened this yellow file without looking at the other items, because the first thing she did was look for the items that were most important to her.
"The pendant isn't in the file, it's in your front drawer." Vivian pointed at the car drawer in front of her with one index finger.
Kirana nodded and opened the car drawer then took out a wooden box from inside.
She opened the box, and inside lay a round gem pendant inside, the simplest jewel styled pendant, it seemed worthless, but for Kirana now, the pendant was her most precious item.
Kirana placed the gem pendant in the palm of her hand, held it tightly, and stared at the receding scenery outside the car window.
After a long silence, it seemed that she had made up her mind, and a soft voice broke the silence in the car "Vivian, take me to Quantum Finance Company."
Quantum Finance Company.
In the SCBD financial district of Jakarta where every inch of land is expensive, Quantum Finance Company which consists of 33 floors stands there in grandeur.
The appearance of the building is beautiful as the name suggests which exudes a noble atmosphere.
Every year when graduation season rolls around, countless highly educated young men or women flock to this building for high-paying jobs, connections, and high status.
Even though it is not graduation season, many people are still in and out of the building, everyone is very busy, working hard against the clock and hoping that one minute can be used for two minutes.
