Kidnapped
FREDA “You look absolutely stunning, Miss” The makeup artist complimented me, and I bit my lips excitedly. “Thank you, Martha” I chuckled slightly. I sat in front of the mirror wearing a heartwarming smile. The long-awaited day is finally here. It's my twentieth birthday party, and my engagement party. The hairstylist had my hair rolled up with a hair roller, giving me a dashing look. “Happy birthday, Freda. It's your day today. I'm so happy for you, best friend” Rebecca, my best friend, stormed into the room and said. I chuckled. “Thank you, Becca. I've waited for so long for this day” I replied as tears circulated in my eyes. “The hall is filled with so many guests. They are all here because of you, Freda” She snapped, and I nodded my head. Yes! I'm turning 20 today, and of course, I'm delighted to be celebrated by many. It's not just my birthday, it's also my engagement party. “You should see Michael, he looks so handsome. You're really lucky to have him. He's every woman's dream” Rebecca squeaked, and I smiled. I don't know if I should be happy or sad that I'm getting married to Michael. Don't get me wrong, I really love him so much. We have been friends since childhood, but why do I feel so off whenever I remember that we're getting married? I want to tell them that I'm too young to get married. I really wished I could make them understand how I feel, but I know that my father is definitely going to kill me if I do that. “I know Becca. I love Michael, and being his wife has always been one of my dreams” I turned my gaze away. Each time, I wonder why Michael and I are rushing to get married. We're both still very young. The door creaked open, and my Mom barged into the room. She smiled at me, and I forced a smile at her too. “Oh Freda, you're looking absolutely gorgeous baby. It's time to go out there, baby. I hope you're ready” She touched my cheek, and I nodded my head coldly. My Mom and I walked out of the room, and I held my long white ball-gown so that I'd be able to walk properly. Immediately I got into the hall, my parents hugged me tightly. I could spot Michael, he was sitting at the other end, smiling at me broadly. He was looking as handsome as ever. ** I stood on the platform, and Michael knelt right in front of me with his left knee. He was holding out a sparkling box containing the ring. “Freda Williamson, will you marry me?” He asked, and the audience applauded him. “Say yes… Say yes” voices rented in the air. I stared at him with a smile that could melt any heart. Rebecca waved at me with a wink. Everyone kept cheering me. “Yes, Michael. I will…” I was still speaking when the door was kicked open. Three hefty guys walked in, followed by another who looked absolutely hot and handsome. He was muscular, and was even heftier than the other three. Everyone started whispering, wondering who the guest were. I couldn't breathe properly as the hot looking guy started approaching me with so much confidence. I staggered backwards, shivering in fear. Furthermore, I was scared and nervous, and grabbed Michael's jacket. His eyeballs were blue, and he looked so fearless. A gasp escaped my lips, and I stepped back again the moment he extended his right hand for me to take. “Who the f*** are you, man? What are you doing here?” Michael stepped in between us, giving him a deadly glare. “I'm Alexander… Alpha Xander” His hoarse voice filled the hall, and I trembled in fear. “What does he want? He is going to ruin my birthday?” “Then what's your business here? If you are here for the party, then stay in the crowd. Stop causing a scene here, you jerk” Michael yelled at him angrily. They glared at each other with hatred, and when I noticed that they won't stop glaring, I had to speak up. “W…what is going on here? Who are you? Why are you here?” I asked in the verge of tears. The Alexander guy's eyes softened as he stared at me. “My own” He called out, stepping even closer to me. “Your own? What does that even mean?” I spoke with a shaky voice. I wanted to run, but my legs just couldn't carry my body. Who is this man, and what does he want from me? Before he could get close to me, Michael punched his face. He smirked at him, before giving Michael a punch that made him stagger to the ground. Blood oozed out of his nostrils, and I covered my mouth with my palms to stop myself from screaming. “No one dares stand between me and what's mine” He growled. Everyone from the crowd shouted, and started running out of the hall in fear. My parents were shivering, I could see fear in their eyes as they stepped backwards. I looked around the hall, and saw how people run out of the hall in fear. Michael's bodyguards rushed towards the platform, but Alexander's men stopped them. Alexander picked up the diamond ring that Michael was using to propose to me, and threw it out of the window. I gasped in terror. “Don't step an inch closer. Who are you, and what the hell do you want?” I screamed, taking off my heels. “You” He snapped, and I gulped nervously. “Me? Why? I don't know you, and I have never set my eyes on you. Why would you want me?” I breathed heavily as a ball of sweats rolled down my face. “Because you're mine, Freda” He smiled. What? Did he even know my name? “Let's go” He signalled his men, and before I could say a word one of his men carried me on his shoulder. I struggled to free myself, but I couldn't even move. “Mom! Dad… Please save me. Don't let them take me” I pleaded, but my parents were shivering in fear. All they could do was cry. The last thing I saw was Michael struggling to get up, but one of the men kicked him even harder, and he passed out…
