The machine gave a low hum and began scrolling out data on the portable EKG Machine that was wirelessly transmitted to the Wheatland Basin Hospital Emergency Room where an E.R. Doctor could view the screen in real time.
His partner Jonas Patron slowly shook his head side by side and replied, “No sign of life.”
They noted the bullet hole and expansion of the entry wound where the body had swelled up directly around the entrance.
Basin Hospital ER Doctor James Riggs watched the EKG printout on the hospital Monitor.
Dr. Riggs directed the ER Nurse to notify Jonas Patron on the portable radio that the EKG reading did confirm the victim was deceased.
