Anson and Monty sat in the hotel lobby having a cup of coffee and discussed their strategy to locate other witnesses to the event.
“I think our next step is to contact known associates of Ryan Bates and Juan Garcia here in Wheatland,” said Monty.
They had sent a Public Records Request to Wheatland Police records for all police reports on Ryan Bates and Juan Garcia.
Several names appeared in the police reports that listed addresses of associates in the same neighborhood as Bates and Garcia.
“The name Martin Nelson is mentioned in several police reports connected to Bates, so let’s pay him a visit today. His address is on First Street, about 6 blocks from John Adam’s house,” said Anson.
