Chapter 47
The following Monday morning the Defense Team were seated in Judge Parker’s courtroom and Prosecutor Walter Colvins sat on the other side of the lectern podium.
The court clerk was seated.
The only other person in the room was Wheatland Daily Herald reporter Danielle Lily who was sitting in the front spectator seating area behind Prosecutor Walter Colvins.
He glanced over his shoulder at Danielle and had a worried look on his face.
Jackie had observed the worried look on Walter Colvins' face and she gave a smile to Danielle.
Whatever happens here is going to hit the newspaper no matter what the outcome, she thought.
Judge Parker’s Bailiff Garfield West entered the courtroom through the Judges chamber door.
He announced Judge Parker and everyone stood as the judge walked
