Imagine a world...
One unlike your own.
A world where life,
Is full of naturally occurring
Un-naturals.
Imagine a world,
Where Fantasy
Reigns Supreme.
And your life
Is a story told,
Long before your birth
And after your death.
Imagine a world
Where FATE
Determines your
LIFE.
Chaos breathes,
And life is formed;
Born from the darkness,
Comes a special light.
In the mind of that light,
At her core,
Darkness takes hold,
Molding her,
Spreading like a virus.
Dark voices rise,
The light flickers;
Into the void she yells,
Until she is all but a shell.
Darkness toys with her,
Taking jabs;
A stab here,
A stab there,
At the core of the light,
The Darkest Mind sits,
Stilled.
As in the beginning.
"Come in," I said before the knock could sound. The door swung open, and in waltzed a visibly pregnant Kira and Titan.
"Not now, Kira," he sighed.
"Then when!" she yelled, exasperated and desperate.
"She is right, Atto," Titan said. It is in accordance with our traditions." She looked at me with a smug, triumphant expression. I smiled back.
"Oh, darling, you think you've won some kind of trophy?" I mused, sitting back in my chair, "My children are literal kings and queens; you and your bastard can have Atto. I could care less as I can no longer feel our bond anyway." The room was silent at my revelation. Atto looked offended and slightly hurt at what I had said. I placed my hands down on the desk, rose from my seat, a small yet now obvious baby bump exposed, and walked around to the front, smiling all the way.
"I've been waiting seventeen years for this," I said. "I, Ororo Niha Akio Blackheart, reject you, Atto Xavier Forde, as my mate." He clutched his chest, falling to the ground.
"Atto!" Kira rushed to his side.
"Now you are free to make your w***e luna," I said.
"You vengeful b***h!" she yelled. Titan stood there, shocked.
"You must now pick where your loyalty lies," I said, looking at Wyatt and the others. Calypso and Ilta walked over to me and clasped each of my hands.
"We're with you," Calypso said.
"To the bitter end!" Ilta smiled. I smiled at them, then we turned to face the boys. Midnight didn't hesitate and followed Ilta. We stood looking at Wyatt, torn between his cousins and his mate, and he looked at Atto sadly.
"I'm sorry, dude, but...my mate's my life," he said, walking over to Calypso. With Kira and Titan's help, Atto got off the floor.
"I, Atto Xavier Forde, do not accept your rejection," he said in a defiant tone. I shrugged. Glaring at me, he left, limping out of the office.
Sorry, let’s turn back the sands of time to before all this mess
