Chapter 34

NIKUMI’S POV

I just got back in my room and here he is, invading my privacy. He locked the door and sit down on the couch.

“Why am I staying in this room? I’m fine with the one I stayed yesterday.” I asked. He yawned and just stares at me.

The room is bigger. The wide window has red curtains hat has some layers to prevent the sun ray from coming in. And it’s absolutely useful since it’s already morning.

“His word is absolute, remember?” he aid sarcastically.

“Fine. Get out now, I need to get some sleep and rest since I’m a night owl now. Tsk.” I said. He didn’t answer but I heard him smirked.

‘’You really need a good rest so you can survive to the welcome ceremony tonight.” He commented and headed towards the door. I got confused for a second.

“Welcome ceremony?”

“Uhm.” He nodded.

“Is it necessary?” I asked again.

“Yes. Just prepare yourself. I don’t know what will be the rules for tonight I just knew that there will be a ceremony for you. See you tonight.” He said and winked before closing the door.

The night of the ceremony.

I heard a few knocks in the door so I walk towards it. I just woke up and I still want to sleep more but the non stop knocking on the door bothers me. I don’t have a choice but to open it.

“Good evening.” I said while yawning.

“You sleep a lot, Margaret. It’s very unusual to us, demons, we can live without sleeping.” Juvia commented. She the one who is rudely knocking.

“Juvia-san, I’m sorry I just feel like sleeping. Do you need something from me?” I asked and wide opened the door.

“The ceremony is about to start. Nao-sama hate demons that are late so you better get ready.” She said plainly and turn her back.

“Yes. Thank you.” I yelled in gratitude but she did not bother to response or wave.

She gotten stubborn starting last night and she is very straight to the point. She doesn’t smile and her eyebrows are always high.

I closed the door and was about to change my Kimono when I heard a loud bang right at the window. Something fell and I immediately check but nothings in there. I opened the curtain so the light from the moon will came in and I almost fell on my knees when a shadow appeared behind the curtain.

“Boo!”

“Damn it.” I yelled, holding my breath and chest.

“Hahahahahahahaha!!”

“What the hell are you doing. You’re gong to give me a heart attack.” I said and hit him repeatedly. He doesn’t stop on laughing until I punch his stomach. He cough a few times after he stopped from laughing.

“What the hell was that for!?” he yelled back at me.

“That’s not funny.”

“Yes it does. Pft!” he said while holding his stomach.

“What do you want now?’’ I asked, I’m really irritated.

“I’ll accompany you to the ceremony. Let’s go?” He asked.

“Wait a second. I’ll just change my kimono.” I said ad rushed to the bathroom to change.

AFTER changing we headed to the ceremony as planned. The room is huge and empty. Yes, the room is almost empty and plane. It was like a very wide house that has nothing just a wooden floor and celling. The candle torches that are on the walls are lighted and the Fusuma wall windows are wide open. At the front side of the room is a mini stage or a ledge is the only difference. There is a chair in the centre of the ledge and it’s obviously for a VIP. Aside from that single chair there’s nothing else in the room

“Good evening, Margaret Onee-chan.” Cindy said. She is coming from the left side of the room. The fusuma is wide open. (Fusuma are a sliding panel in traditional Japanese houses tat serves as window or walls.)

“Good evening.” I said and waived my hand a little. She smiled and spin the temari ball in her finger. She went to the right side of the room an just stand in there. From the same corner she came from there are other’s who walk in and lined up in the right side. I recognized Shino-san, Kiku-san and Millen-san but I am not familiar with the others.

“Stay here.” Edward said and before I can ask he already left my side and proceed to where the others were standing. He is in the first in the line, followed by Cindy and there’s a space after Cindy and Guy with orange hair that I haven’t met yesterday is standing after the space. Thee orange hair guy was followed by Kiku, Millen and a lady with long hair wearing a black kimono. She stared at me from head to toe and vice versa so I was able to check her as well. She’s wearing chains all over her body and she does have a lot of piercing on her face. After her is Shino who is smiling at me. I smiled back but a faint one. I noticed that there’s a space again after Shino. Next was a huge man standing after the space beside Shino. His muscles are obviously huge and his hair’s braided and he has two butchers knife held in both hands. He is bigger than anyone else in the room. His height is two time the height of the tallest man, Edward. After him is a man Holding a fan. His kimono is longer than anyone’s and printed with white flowers, I can’t see his whole face because he is covering his nose and mouth with the Fan but he looks like a man because off his hair that is almost similar to Edward. He is looking at me sharply so I shifted my gaze to the last person on the line. His eye were blind folded with yellow piece of cloth but when I looked at his hands it’s not a normal hands. Both his palm is facing outward and I can see the eyeball for each palm. It gave me a shiver so I remove my eyes to him.

After a few moment of staring at every one Juvia Entered the room, holding a jar and leave it right on the floor, below the ledge. She occupied the space between Cindy and the orange guy. I don’t what exactly happening and why I need to stay here in the centre of the room facing the empty chair and all by my self.

When I was about to move so I can Edward, a strong wnd filled the entire room and the next I knew, Nao-sama is already sitting on the chair. All of the bent down their knees and lowered their heads. I immediately drop on my knees as well to pay my respect for I knew that he is terrifying and everyone of us that is in the room are terrified.
