Chapter 36

NIKUMI’S Point of View

“Whenever you’re ready.” Nao-sama said. He crossed his left leg to his right and put his hand on his chin like he is watching some sort of entertainment.

After what Nao-sama said Zaiji didn’t waste a chance. He attacked me with his sharp knife. All I can do is dodge his attacks. I am surprised when I noticed that my movements are unusually fast.

My body is so light and I can make flash steps and flash moves. I remember yesterday my I pushed Edward. I think I can do this. I’m not confident that I will win but at least I need to try. It’s better than losing without fighting.

He stomped on me when I dodge his first attack by rolling on the floor, I managed to stop his foot with my two hands. He is putting too much pressure on his foot and I can barely move because of his weight. He is biggest demon in the room and I who is just a five feet height is against him. He growls a lot and showing his sharp teeth. He swing his knife downwards and aimed for my head but I dodge it. I pushed his foot as hard as I could and roll over to the right. He almost lost his balance but he managed to chase me with his knives while I’m rolling on the floor.

He keeps on cursing while attacking me. His voice is very like he is wild animal aiming for his prey. Before he hit me with the blade I manage to escape. And run to an open area where I can run around. I have done nothing aside from dodging his attacks and running from left to right to escape from his attacks and t save my life.

But I know I can’t run until morning. It’s either I’m going to lose or he will. I can’t lose. I can’t die here just yet. I still have plans, Edward and I has still pans for ourselves. To get our human soul back, our memories. I still want to find out if I still have family, my real life and my true Identity. If I’ll die here it’ll be the end for everything I wanted. It’ll be the end of me. I’ll die without knowing anything about my self. I can’t die here!

“Zaiji-san.” I said while standing and waiting or his attack. He is running towards me and angrily growling.

“Shut up! I’ll cut you head off so I can live!” he shouted and hit me. I simply swayed to right to dodge it. “Die!” And I swayed to left when he hit me with the other.

“I’m sorry, but I have to live too.”

I felt a strong will from inside me. I know someone from the outside is waiting for me. If I have a family waiting for me to come home, then I need to survive. If ever there’s someone waiting for me, I can’t let that person wait for me forever.

My nails started to grow longer and I can feel a power running all over my body. I kicked him in the stomach and he flew away. I blew him away with just a single kick. He landed in front of Nao-sama. His knives are on the floor and I was able to pick up the other. He immediately recover from the impact and grab his knife. He angrily stared at me when he realized that he has only one and I have the other. He run towards me but before he can grab my neck I jumped backwards and aimed for his head. I knew that my move will be accurate but sill I need to make sure. I threw the knife toward his head and It hit the centre of his forehead. He shouted in pain but he simply remove it with his bare hands and attacked me. His purple blood run all over his face but he is still moving like normal. Edward is right. It’s either I need to cut his head or kill him using a light from the sun. Though he also said that demons are still alive after taking off their heads but it’ll take time for them to regenerate.

This time I’m the one who attacked first, I run towards him and kick his both hands that caused him to drop both the knives he is holding. I managed to jump higher than his height and wile on the air I kicked his head off. I didn’t expect that my kick will be able to remove his cut his head but I did. His head rolled over to Nao-sama’s feet and His body landed on the ground along with my proper landing.
