Chapter 33

NIKUMI'S POV

“Are you frightened?” he asked.

“Y-yes, my lord.” I stutter.

“Don’t be frightened, Margaret. A family should not be frightened with it’s own clan.” I felt his hand on my head. “I’ll see you tomorrow evening then.” He said and in just a blink of an ye He’s already sitting behind he table. The curtain rolled down and Juvia-san gave me a signal to leave.

I sighed in relief when she closed the door after we made it outside. She grabbed my arm and pulls me away from the room. She’s not letting me go until we reached the middle of the hallway and at the same time the stairs.

“What were you thinking?!” She aske me with a very controlled tone of voice. She let go of my arm and she angrily pushed me towards the pillar. My back hit the edge of it caused me to scream in pain. “You’re going to get us killed!”

“I’m sorry. It’s just that I saw—” I was cut off when someone appeared beside me.

“Are you okay, Margaret-chan?” Edward-kun appeared and looked at me with his worried face. He blocks my sight of Juvia-san and he gave me questioning look afterwards. I shook my and mouthed ‘later’.

“What are you doing here, Edward?” Juvia asked.

“I’m here to see Nao-sama. He called for me.” H answered directly. Juvia rolled eyes and stared at me. “Juvia, whatever happened in there you don’t need to hurt her here.”

“She almost get us killed right in there.” She exclaimed. Edward looked at me for confirmation.

“I’m sorry.” I replied and lower my eyes. I heard him sighed and pressed my shoulder.

“Still, you shouldn’t hurt family. He will kill you if he saw what you did.” After Edward said that Juvia stared at both of us annoyed and she walk down the stairs.

After a few minutes that we made sure she not around, Edward poked me on the forehead.

“Hey!” I yelled and touched my forehead.

“What stupidity did you do in that hell room?” He is whispering but I can sense that he wanted to yell at my face.

“I’ll tell you the whole thing later. Just go.” I said and pushed him towards the hallway. He scratched his head and glared at me. I smiled and shoo him away. “I’ll wait here.’’ I mouthed. He just nodded and when I blinked he’s gone.

I sighed in relief and sat on the floor leaning on the pillar.

I really think that I saw him somewhere, the demon lord. He looks very familiar and I even had a flash image in my mind earlier. I felt an anger towards Nao-sama for unknown reason. My anger is too great that I’m thinking to struck him earlier but I don’t know why have that feeling. If Juvia happened to not with us I might have done some foolish and rash move and I might be dead by now. It’s a good ting that I came back to my senses or else I’m dead.

I sighed again. I eel so tired and exhausted so I rested my back on the pillar. I will just wait here for Edward-kun. I’m willing to wait but my eye are getting heavy.

I felt like there is someone carrying me. My body is swaying like someone wo’s carrying me is walking. I slowly opened my eyes. I saw a fine looking man, looking in front steadily and focused on walking. I smiled when I recognized who it was.

“Edward-kun.”

“You’re awake.’’ He said.

“Yes.” After I said it I found my self on the floor. Did he just drop me on the floor?

“You sleep to much for a demon.” He said, looking down me. “You’re heavy. What did you do when you’re still a human? Eat?” I felt my cheeks burning and I am so pissed when I heard him.

“You have a bad manners for a human.” I exclaimed after standing up.

“I’m a demon, pig.” He teased. He is now serious like what he was when we were in his hide out.

“PIG?!” I yelled. He grinned and poked my forehead.

I’m so annoyed and it urges me to push him. I gasped when he crashed on the wall and it cracked. The wall was 10 feet apart from where we are standing but he laded on it. I covered my mouth with my both hands in shock. We are in a empty room. It’s absolutely empty but has a wall in front, at the back and a door on my left. Three’s a huge sliding door (Traditional Japanese window) at the right side and It’s open. It’s still dark outside.

“What the hell?”

“What was that?

“Who is this?”

“Edward, what are you doing?”

All four of them showed up and didn’t noticed how did they get here and they’re really fast. The door was opened but I can’t tell all four of them used the door to get here.

“What the hell?” Edward hissed and he stood up like it was nothing. He remove the dust on his clothes that came from the cracked wall and he smiled at me. He is smiling cheerfully. “Yo!” he waved to the four demons who jut arrived. “It’s nothing, everyone.” He said cheerfully he smiles like his eyes are smiling to.

“Sorry.” I said plainly. I crossed my arms so I will look intimidating since there’s bunch of demon with us and I can’t show them my real feelings and intentions.

“Who are you?” One of them asked. She’s a lady demon that’s holding a yoyo on both hands . Her left eyebrow was raised and she staring at me rudely.

“Everyone, this is Margaret. The newest member of Yaiba family.” He said without removing his fake smiled in front of everyone.

“Margaret-san. I’m Shino and this is Millen-chan.” The long hair guy said casually. He pointed the gisl with a yoyo. She just hissed and then walk of the room.

“Hello.” I replied is a casual tone.

“My name is Kiku.” His hair long as well but he is wearing a Black hat. He’s looks are fine, seemed serious and neutral. “Welcome to Yaiba.” He said and smiled. He walked out of the room as well while his hands on his pocket.

“Let’s play, Margaret Onee-chan.” I looked at the child beside Shino. She is smiling, holding a temari ball. She grab my hand and tried to pull me.

“Margaret onee-chan is busy tonight, Cindy-chan.” Edward said that made the kid frown. I felt guilty, If I had a sibling in my past life I might have played with her even for a few moment to make her happy but then I’m trying to be neutral here or else I will never get my Human soul back in one wrong move.

“Sorry, Cindy-chan.” I gave her a little smile and she smiled back. Now I’m wondering why a young girl like her turned into a demon.

“Okay, okay. Let’s go, Shino onii-san.” She said and pulled Shino. I want to smile at her like for real but Edward is looking at me. I can sense it!

‘’See you around, Margret-san.” I nodded as an answer to Shino.

Edward and I sighed in unison after everyone left the room.
