NIKUMI’S POV

“Wait, I need to drink human blood all the time?” here I am and asking again. I’m so dead curious and I can’t even understand a thing here.

“Yes.” He nodded. “That’s the only way to survive. We need to feast and we need to survive. The demon lord will devour any demons that resides in the mansion if it’s weak or useless. For you to be stronger, alive and evolve to a stronger form of demon we need to consume blood. I used to consume animals blood and I’m stronger than anyone aside from him. But I need to buy this..” he pointed the human blood in the bag. “....so he won’t caught me disobeying his orders.”

“You’re not evil.” I commented. He chuckles and stared at me. “Why?”

“Demons are bad that’s why were called demons.” He replied. It doesn’t make any sense. He call himself a demon but he don’t want to kill human unless was ordered to him, he call himself a demon but he hate human blood. He really is one weird demon.

“So I’m evil?” I teased him. I shut my mouth after realizing what I just did.

“Yes, you are! Beautiful evil demon.” He smiled.

“S-sorry.” I shyly whispered. I heard him chuckles. I don’t know what came in to my mind to tease him.

“Here, drink this and we should head back to the mansion before the sun rises.” He gave me the human blood in the glass and he opened one for himself as well.

“I can’t do this.” I said and put it away.

“You did not kill a human. You’re just gong to drink the blood I bought.” I know that he is just trying to console me but I can’t stand the fact that it’s still human blood.

“I can’t—” I stopped complaining when the aroma of the blood reach my nose. I gulped but my mouth is now watery and it’s too late to decline what is serve in front of me.

“Your drooling.” He teased. I gulped again and stared at the blood. It’s sparkling in my sight so I shook my head to go back to reality. I closed my eyes and took a sip out of it until I didn’t realize that I already drank it all until the last drop.

“It’s good.” I said in amazement. And the reality hit me. “ But I can’t continue doing this. It’s still human blood. What if he will force me to kill a human?” I’m worrying on what I could possibly do from now on.

“It’s okay, You need to bare with it. Just follow everything that he says so you can survive and we’ll find a way out. We’ll get our souls back. Just be patience.” He really is weird and amazing at the same time. “I got you.”

“Uhm.” I smiled and nodded.

He finished drinking the blood in his cup and after that we decided to head back to the mansion. I still have a of questions but I decided to save it for later.
