Chapter 25

Hatori-niisan, I’m sorry for leaving you alone.

“Nao-sama gave an order about that girl.” I heard a voice from the outside and some few foot steps. I immediately closed my eyes and pretended to be unconscious.

“Damn it! Humans are supposed to be our food. They don’t have another purpose aside from being foods for us demons.” This time I heard a different voice from the firs one a moment ago. It’s a manly sound while earlier it was a girl’s voice.

“I know right. But we cannot disobey him. You know what will happen if we do. Shut up now, were here.” After the girls voice said those words I heard the sound of the door opens and after a few seconds and foot steps I once again heard it.

I gulped and tried my best now to move or say anything. I controlled my breathing like I’m normally sleeping even though my heartbeat is pounding like crazy because I am afraid of these people. I can feel my sweat on my forehead and my hands but I’m still trying to cam myself.

“Did you bring it?” The girl asked the other.

“Yes.” I heard some noises and a sound of stainless things rattling. The sound of their footstep stopped not too far from my bed and so i sighed in relief.

“Okay. Just put it there and you can leave.” The girl said casually.

“Who is this girl anyway?” he asked and I heard some footsteps towards my direction.

“I don’t know either. I’m just following his others.”

“This one’s really cute.” I felt someone staring at me but I stayed focused on pretending to be sleeping. “She smells nice and tasty.” I gulped again.

“Edward, she’s not your food. Get out of here before Nao-sama gets here.” The girl again said telling him to leave.

“I know! Tch!” I felt a warm breathing at my face so I accidentally opened my eyes. In my surprise a fine looking man is so close to my face but he’s looking at his right talking to the girl. I closed my yes again in relief. “Hey, Ojou-san.” (Ojou-san Is used to address a young lady that you just met and doesn’t her name yet) He poked my forehead. “I know your awake.”

“Fool. Don’t wake her, she might cause a commotion here and the demons will know her presence. Get out!” I immediately opened my eyes when I heard what the girl just said about the demons. So they are not just the demons here? There’s a lot more here and here I am in the demons lair?!

“Oh!!” The fine man pointed me while smiling. “Look! Look she is awake.” He really is a strange one. He looks like a normal person but because of his fangs in his upper and lower teeth I could tell that he is still a demon. He looks normal without his fangs. His hair is not too short and long enough for some strand to cover hi forehead and almost reach his eyes. His hair is black and it’s shining because of the sunlight. He is wearing a kinomo and has a tattoo on his neck. He’s wearing silver earing on both ears.

“Please, don’t hurt me.” I whispered. He looked at me again ad lean closer to me. He grinned and then crossed his arms.

“Your name is?” H e asked.

“Edward, do not bother her. After I give her the shot I’ll take my leave. You are not allowed in here so go out now.” I tried to look at the lady who he’s speaking with but I can’t move my head.

“Here.” I was surprised when he destroyed the metal chain on my neck. “Your name?” He asked again and smiled.

“Edward.” The girl walk closer holding tray on her hands. She put the tray beside my and put both her hands on her waist.

“I know! I’m just asking for the name of this beautiful human in front of me.” He smirked and shifted his eyes on me. “Ojou-san?”

“Is this for real?” she removed the strap on my wrist and stomach and let me sit on the bed. My legs and ankles are still tied down but it’s okay at least I was able to move the upper part of my body. I twisted both my wrist because the strap are so tight that it leaves red marking on my skin. “So you finally woke up.” She said and prepared a syringe.

“Hey, Ojou-san?”

“Ni-Nikumi. M-my name is Nikumi.” I said.

“Nikumi-chan. Your name is beautiful like your face.” Did he just call my name in informal way? Chan? (adding san in a name is formal either boy or girl’s name however for using informal like ‘chan’ for women and ‘kun’ for men is used if you are friends, relative or somehow close enough for informality.)

“Nikumi-chan?!?!” the lady asked seriously. “What is happening to you Edward? What’s with you changing your personality just by imply meeting this human? I’ve had enough. Get out.” She grab his neck and pulls him but the man named Edward didn’t say anything , he is just staring at me with a smile on his face he’s being dragged outside the room. He even waived his hand before the girl closed the door.

“That fool!” she said and walk towards me again.

“Who are you? Where am i?” I asked calmly but she did not answer instead she held the syringe again and attach a needle.

“Alright, this won’t sting. Just relax.” She said and lean towards me holding the injections.

“Wait! What are you doing?” I said and started to get confused of what she’ll do to me. “What is that for?”

“You have no right to ask question ojou-san.”

“Stop! Don’t do this please. I need to get out of here.” I said while trying to convince her to let me go. “Please.”

“There’ no way out, Ojou-san. If there’s a way out here then I shouldn’t here right now doing this.” She said and paused. She looked at the from the window and stared at it for a second. Suddenly i felt her different presence. She looks sad unlike earlier that she seemed so serious. “If there’s away out I might have stayed as a human.”

“Please. Let me live.”

“Nikumi, right?” she asked and I nodded as a reply. “You will not die but you will here forever like me. I’m sorry. I’ve got here now and there’s no turning back. I still need to live too, like you.” She help face and she look so sincere. She was like hypnotizing me and the next thing I knew was she already tie my hands on the bed while I’m still sitting. “Bare with the pain for a moment.” She said and before I can even utter a word she already stab my with needle on my neck.

“What did you do?” I said in my very low voice. I feel so dizzy and the surround was like moving. My vitals feels like going to burst an my heart is pounding abnormally. I’m chasing my breath and I can still see what she is doing. She injected a serum on my neck again and the mixed feeling inside my mind and body are getting intense. “S-Stop. Help.” Suddenly a figure appeared in front of me. A hand, onii-san’s hand that is offering for help. “Help me, Hato-ri......” the image of him fades away and everything went black.
